Ultra Magnus's ship landed and everyone came rushing out of the hidden base. Ratchet was still inside, preparing for Wheeljack battered body to come through those doors.
Everyone carried the wounded mech inside, laying him on the berth that was in Ratchets medical Area. Ratchet stood still, shocked at the sight of the mech. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He swallowed harshly as he went to the wreckers aid. He knew he didn't have much time left. He had to get energon pumping through him as soon as he closed his wounds.
—
Hours passed by and Ratchet finally got the mech stabilized. He held the wreckers hand, his thoughts plaguing his mind on why he didn't see through to the way he felt about him. It was his fault and because of it, WheelJack almost got killed.
He slipped his hand out of his hold and went to do other things as he waited for him to wake. He didn't even realize the heavy footfalls coming behind him until he felt a hand being placed on his shoulder.
He looked over and saw his leader. Optimus sighed and said," It wasn't your fault Ratchet. It never was yours. Wheeljack made his decision and left, despite the fact you were blind to the feelings you have for him. "
Ratchet shook his head. He said," If I just admitted my feelings for him before he left, we wouldn't be in this mess. It is my fault. He almost lost his life because of me...."
Optimus sighed," Once again, old friend, it wasn't your fault. He chose his actions and chose what he would do. Now that he is back, you have the ability to make things right. Even though he is unconscious, he still can hear you. Talk to him. Let him hear what you have to say."
Ratchet looked up to his leader before nodding. He made his way back to where Wheeljack Laid still. He ran his hand on the side on the wreckers face, a sad expression wearing over him. Ratchet said," I'm sorry I made you leave. I shouldn't have been so blind to how you felt, and now I can't make myself stop thinking about the pain I caused you...I'm sorry for how I've treated you when, you were right all along. I do love you...."
—
Weeks gone by and the wrecker still hasn't woken up yet. Ratchet and the others grew restless as the days went on. Mike and Bulkhead weren't taking it to kind hearts. They were saddened and hurting. The two left the base a lot to just go and have their own time, talking about the things that made them happy when Wheeljack was up and about before all of this happened.
Ratchet wasn't doing well. He stayed up longer, was a lot more sad and not cranky, and he was broken. Optimus tried getting the mech to be calm, but to no Avail.
-
Ratchet walked around the medbay, hoping that there was some sign where Wheeljack would just finally wake up soon and be able to hear his voice. He sighed softly and walked to the fallen wrecker on the table, his vital signs good, but nothing shown him waking up soon.
Ratchet grabbed the wreckers hand and held it close to him. He said," Jackie...if you can hear me, please...wake up. I can't go any longer like this. It hurts my spark to see you like this. It hurts to see that I never saw you the way you saw me. I didn't mean for all of this to go south like this...I just want to hear your voice again..."

Silence still fell in the room. Ratchet was beginning to think he would never wake up from the injuries that he suffered. Ratchet sighed as a tear fell down his faceplate, hitting the mechs hand below that he still held. He soon shook his head and squeezed the mechs hand harder before letting go.
As he walked away, he heard a voice said," Now Sunshine...we have stuff we need to talk about..."
