@theomaynard: so...explanation time. As alot of you know I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer a while back and in order to cut it out they had to remove on of my ovaries which really messed with my chances of having kids.
Jack and I tried, for about a year but nothing happen and because we knew that the chances were slim we never got our hope up and quickly moved on to our next choice of having a child...adoption.
Adopted felt like the right choice for us, we decided, instead paying thousands of pounds on surrogacy that may not work, we could give our love to a child that needs it, somebody who needs a family.
Enter Riley J. It started pretty slow, after doing the application and the checks were done, we heard nothing, for months everytime the phone rang our hearts would stop and after not hearing anything for a while we began to feel it was never going to happen.
Then the phone rang and our whole world stopped...they had a baby, 1 year old, looking for a family and the adoption agency picked us.
After a trail period of getting to know Riley and him getting to know us we were asked to sign the dotted lines and Boom, two became three and we are so incredibly thankful and so happy to have Riley J join us. (Just incase you were wondering, Riley is the name he was given when he was born and Jack and I wanted to keep it that way, however we chose Joseph Conor as middle names because...well we love our brothers and we wanted to honour them the best way we knew how (Love you Joey and Condor 💙).)
Riley J, you are the light of my life. We didn't give you the gift of life, life gave us the gift of you and your dad and I will forever be grateful for you smile, your laugh and most importantly your love.
