I look out the window for the 10th time before finally stepping out.
Appa's friend just got in town and I got a heads up from Masina that he was talking about my wedding...so the fear of being arranged with someone else is just completely freaking me out.

I finally come out and smile at the man.
I just dropped Appa off at the man's house.

After the greetings I stay by the side waiting for them to just go in so I can leave but both the old men were enjoying their conversation outside.
"So Afrar How has work been doing?" He asks and I smile. The man doesn't believe in fashion, you can tell by the way he asked.

"It's going well Alhamdulilah"
"Perfect. I will be inviting you to lunch later on if you would like to join us. With my two daughters"

"Thank you. I'll make sure Appa and I are punctual as well"
"You can go. I'll ask my driver to come pick me up. I don't want you to be late to work"

"Okay be safe" I get in the car and drive off.

I enter Mayriam office and close the door flopping on her couch.
"Wow!" she says.

She looks at me questioningly

She looks at me questioningly.
"I have never seen you dress like this...Baggy hoodie and yoga pants? What's up?" She asks.

"Appa is planning something and I don't like it"
"Really? What do you think it is?" She asks sitting next to me.

"He always asks me if I'm going to date someone and I keep telling him no. He stopped asking and I know Appa, that is not a good sign"
"So you feel he wants to hook you up with someone?"

"I don't think so darling, I think....I don't even know honestly"
"What about that guy? The Pakistani?"
"Hasnin? He's a model. It would have never been possible anyway"

"Yeah but he is gorgeous"
"I know but I don't want to marry someone who has a bigger ego than I do. That's just absurd"

"It is" she smiles.
I look at her weirdly. She has been working for me for 2weeks now but everything is going perfectly. She's really good at what she does and she moved in yesterday.

I guess both she and I have been pulled into a forced dinner tomorrow night.
"Wait!" I say. She looks at me waiting for me to talk.
"Isn't is coincidental that both you and I are having dinner, on the same street and you are having dinner with your father's friend and daughter just like me and I'm having dinner with my Appa's friend and his two daughters" she gasps.

"Hakaneh" she smiles. "If that's the case then I'm looking forward to it"
"Yeah and I don't have to worry about a freaking arranged marriage"

"Yeah" She smiles.

Jogging really isn't my thing but I really need to clear my head. The whole thought of being married to someone freaked me out, I wore baggies? That is something I would never do but I did today. Although it's all sorted out I still want to jog a bit.
