I know I have a few things to reply to and hopefully I can do that tonight. Just wanted to reply briefly, partly because I just wanted to say that I don't ignore your message and partly because of your last message.

I obviously can't relate to the "problem" of not being black "enough". For what it is worth though, you are gorgeous. It might not mean that much, coming from someone who doesn't recognise 'race' as a concept nor do I believe in applying certain attributes to people based on their appearance such as the tone of their skin. Might sound odd right, seeing that some of my fetishes or groups are of black and white nature.

Personally I feel that it is bordering on racism, because it perpetuates stereotypes - whether positive or negative you are still applying features to a person based on their origin without taking the person into account. Which is why I don't like fetishising skin colour/tone, ethnicity/cultural identity or origin.

I am rambling, the thing I really wanted to say even though it is probably a weak comfort - is that it is their loss if you don't fall into their ready made mould about how an African-American woman should be. Be yourself, you're bound to find someone who loves you for you being who you are rather than you having a particular origin of descent. But I know it can get lonely, maybe just for other reasons than for yourself.

Dude don't worry about that, I was just thinking fast and a lot and when I do that, I send more than one reply. I have about 40 unread messages in my inbox and I'm just too overwhelmed to read them. Also most are from men anyway or non conversational females. =/ With you, I can talk to you. I like that so forgive me if I reply to much because of my unleashing mind. It's cool that I'm not culturally black enough. I'm mixed and you're right; I'm not going to be something I have no desire to be. I love myself and grateful for me. I enjoy my looks, knowledge and style. And yes, I too find it ridiculous to fetish an color or race. We all have preferences but being open to love and experiences is an beautiful trait.

Dude you're so right though about that racism...I think the same thing and even wrote about it on xxnx when I use to hang out on there. It is racism because of those perceived racial stereotyoes. I totally concur. Writing is an comfort, I'll make an discussion out of it...loneliness that is.

But-what's with this union? As in an worker's union? Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy your day. Or night...I don't know what time it is over there. How are your cats?
