Chapter 9

August's pov

After Katie ran off I sat on the couch letting her words replay in my head. I started feeling bad so I walked to the bathroom and knocked on the door.

Katie: WHAT DO YOU WANT!?

August: YOU TO STOP YELLING! AND YOU TO COME OUT AND TALK TO ME LIKE AN ADULT!!

Katie: FINE!

Katie slung the bathroom door open and walked up to my chest trying to get in my face but she was to short to reach it.

Katie: YOU WANNA FUCKING TALK!?

August: *shakes his head yes*

I hated seeing Katie mad like this. I hate to be the reason she was like this.

Katie: I HATE YOU! I WILL NEVER LOVE YOU! I WANNA GO HOME! I WANT MY LIFE BACK!!

August: Okay. I know you don't love me like I love you but I'm gonna let you go. To show you that I truly do love you.

Katie: Really.

August: *shakes his head and looks at the floor*

Katie: thank you!

August: yea.

I grabbed my keys and told Katie come on. We got in the car and pulled off. It was an awkward silence so I turned the radio on to kinda get rid of it. I pulled up to Katie's house and unlocked my doors. As she was getting out she looked back at me.

Katie: Thank you. I won't press any charges or anything. *kisses his cheek and gets out*

August: bye.

I pulled off fast and made my way home. Once I got home I went to my fitness room and started releasing all my anger on my punching bag. After I did that and I felt somewhat relaxed I took a shower and laid in my bed. I sniffed the sheet where Katie used to lay. My bed felt bigger now that she wasn't by my side anymore. I shook my head and went to sleep thinking about Katie and the good times we had.

Katies pov

I knocked on my house door and 2 minutes later a man opened the door half dressed.

Katie: Does Anna still live here?

Man: *looks Katie up and down licking his lips* Yeah she upstairs sleep. Who are you beautiful?

Katie: Her daughter. Excuse me. *pushes past him*

Man: Damn baby it's like that?

I walked upstairs into my moms room and shook her awake.

Mom: what Josh. I'm tired you already wore me out.

Katie: Mom it's me. Your daughter.

My mom shot her eyes open and she pulled me into a tight hug. I tried to pull back after the first 10 minutes but she didn't let me go. After a couple more minutes passed she finally let go. She wiped the tears from her eyes.

Mom: Where were you? I was worried sick about you!

Katie: *lying*I went to California. I needed to get away from Atlanta for a while.

Mom: oh baby, how was it?

Katie: It was beautiful. But I'm gonna go to my room and call up Mea.

Mom: Okay baby. I love you!

Katie: I love you too ma.

I walked out my moms room and closed the door. I walked into my room and seen my moms little boyfriend Josh laying on my bed.

Katie: why are you in here?

Josh: I just wanna get to know ya ma.

Katie: can you like get out. Please

Josh: I'm going baby.

I watched as he got off my bed and walked towards me. I backed up into my wall cause he was getting all up on me.

Josh: *rubs Katie's thighs and butt* I'm gonna make you beg for it.

Katie: GET OUT! Before I scream!

Josh: That will just excite me more. But I'm gone for now love.

I watched as josh left my room. I locked my door and sat on my bed. I was Lowkey missing August. I called my Best friend Mea and within seconds she answered.

Mea: Katie!?

Katie: The one and only!

Mea: Omg! I missed you! What happened to you? Are you going to school tomorrow?

Katie: I missed Ya too. I left to California I needed a break from this place. Yes I will be at school tomorrow.

Mea: Shit you should have took me with *laughs*

Katie: *laughs* Arrd girl I gotta let you go. I'm getting tired.

Mea: Okay bye baby love you.

Katie: love Ya too.

I hung up the phone and did my hygiene thing. I walked out the bathroom and walked over to my bed and laid down on it. As I was falling asleep all I could think about was August.
