Planof action
Zafiah
We were back at the safe house in Anhaller. Amai had gotten the others here after I informed her that we had another mission. It was nice to see the crew again. Orogon hugged me tight, whispering to me about how glad he was that I was okay. He gave condolences to both Xavier and I for Theseus, he knew the prince meant a lot to us, more so for Xavier but I had grown close to the haughty regalty in those few months.
Seeing Salazar again made me a little happy and a little shocked since it seemed that he had hooked up with Seth over the break we had. They were happily holding hands in the corner, whispering and giggling to each other. I'm happy he found love again, he could finally have a family again.
Amai had ran to me and engulfed me in a bear hug, lifting me up into the air and spinning me around.
"Zafiah! Oh how we missed you! How have you been?" She gushed, her hands held mine.
"I've missed you guys too. I'm doing good and you?"
"I'm good!" She was very excited for the new mission. I looked around, I didn't see Grimm but I did see a new face or more specifically an old one.
"Cormac Hadley. Long time no see." I smiled at the tall soldier that stood near the shadowed corner of the room. I recognized him because I once served under his team. The huge brute stepped out from his darkened shroud and gave me a lopsided grin. His blue eyes were dulled out and his raven hair was grayed out slightly, it had been a few years but he still looked just as formidable as before.
"Commander Khan, it's a pleasure to see you again." His tone still held authority even after all this time. Xavier was already at my side, his alpha side kicked in after seeing that his mate might get stolen away. I sighed at this but let it go. Xavier was just afraid of losing me and I can't blame him for his behavior, he already lost so much.
"I'm guessing Grimm won't be joining us on this little adventure." I muttered, a bit disappointed. Despite the man's half dead approach to everything and stern exterior, he was a wonderful person and an asset to the team. Although Hadley was just as good as a replacement. I knew he was strong from experience and that he could handle huge groups at any given time.
"We have another recruit who wishes to help." Amai quickly added. I raised an eyebrow at that. We aren't taking a lot of people in the first place, mostly because I don't want to cause unnecessary deaths. Hadley was enough as a recruit so we didn't need more people.
Amai pulled out her phone and contacted the other contender who wanted to join our ranks. She spoke quick and curt, the receiver of the call promising to meet us here in twenty minutes. I think that was enough time to brief them of our plans.
"Okay, gather around. I'm not going to repeat myself a thousand times." I called out to my team. Xavier stood next to me but kept a respectful distance, I needed to establish some form of dominance for them to follow and that can't be done with my lover hanging on me. Salazar and Seth caught on and they too kept a respectful distance away from each other. They all stood at attention, even the fearsome Hadley was all ears and ready to hear my thoughts.
"After our battle with King Gilgamesh it seems more problems have arisen. We have lost plenty in that fight and I honestly don't want to lose more. But life always seems to love to fuck with me us for some apparent reason, so we have more work to do. Gilgamesh had made mention of Hecate, the royal adviser and as I recently found out, my aunt. He claimed his love for her and my thoughts say that she may have manipulated him into doing all of this. Her intentions for doing so is still unknown to us.
So in actual fact our enemy is still out there, walking free and probably causing more havoc. My sources have claimed that she may be residing on the planet of Crete under the protection of King Minos. God knows what she's going to insinuate there but we're not going to allow her a chance to cause more chaos. We leave in a week's time, pack up everything you need and say your farewells. We don't know how long we are going to be gone or who is going to survive but trust and believe that we are doing this for the greater good.
