Chapter Two
Finding WithinThird person point of view (POV)
Elsa breathed in and out steadying her breath.
"Please don't send me to the crazy floor. Please."
Elsa's therapist, Ms Delia just smiled.Elsa sat in disarray and repeated, "You're dreaming. That wasn't Alex and it's just a dream you had when you went for a quick nap."
The therapist spoke softly, "you're not going anywhere soon. You just got overwhelmed and what I suspect from the lack of fresh air, crammed inside from the week of non stop rain. I've scheduled you to go outside at least once a day and walk the track. If it's raining ask a assistant and they will provide some gear. Okay?"
Elsa nodded feeling relaxed and relieved.A monotone sounded signaling it was 6:30. Dinner time. Elsa has spent all her free time in therapy.
Ms Delia opened the door and Elsa stood up and walked out. The halls were empty an quiet besides the odd wailing of an unfortunate soul.
A young girl who looked no more then maybe 14 ran by her head down and blood dripping from her arm.
Elsa, confused followed her. Ignoring the last warning dinner tone.
She called to the girl.
The girl stopped and spun around. Her lips wet and stained dripping with red liquid.
Elsa gasped.
She clung onto a bent clothes hanger that also looked blood stained.
Elsa backed away slowly and the girl crept towards her breathing hard. Her black hair clinging to her face.
The girl raised the hanger and screamed.
Elsa screamed and turned to run.
The girl chased after her screaming. Elsa twisted down the long hallway, past the cafeteria and into the hallway of rooms. The girl gained on her and she could feel we got breathe on the back of Elsa's cold shivering neck. She swung open her door then slammed it shut. The girls hanger stuck in the door. Elsa could see her face through the small glass and she tugged on the hanger screaming.
"I need this!" The girls screamed over and over.
Two men came up behind her and grabbed her arm. She punched him and returned to tugging on the hanger. The other one grabbed his baton.
Elsa gasped and back away.
He hit her in the arm several times and the girl kicked at him. Until he raised it above his head ready to strike her head.
His started to lower it onto her but her arm swung out revealing the deep cuts. She sliced his stomach with the sharp end. He doubled over and fell down.
Elsa screamed and fell to the ground pulling her hand to her open gaping mouth. Elsa was confused for a second then realized why the girl had done that.
She grabbed a jumble of keys and jingled them in front of the window.
Elsa screamed again and tears jerked from her eyes.
The girl started to jam the keys into the key hole until one fit. She smiled and turned the lock.
Elsa screamed again.
The door slowly opened.
Then, all at once another big man pulled her out of the room and stuck a needle into her arm. She fell into him and he pulled her away.
Miles ran into the room.
"Elsa.." He dropped beside her and wrapped his arms around her shaking body. She cried into him and stayed like that for once in 2 years.
