Walk into the room,
Try to keep from blinking,
Squeeze my fists real tight,
Try to keep from sinking,
They want to destroy me,
Poke holes in my truth,
Put lies in my mouth,
Burn down my youth,
That’s not how things will be,
Because I am strong and nobody hold a candle to me,
Because a man’s word is his truth and true I’ll always be,
As I walk out the room with my head held high,
I’ll walk out a free man and they can kiss their filthy dirty lies goodbye,
Because damn straight I’m me and I’ll be as free as can be,
For all I care they can lie down and cry and die,
I’m leaving, I’m gone,
I’ve won this fight,
For once,
For the first time,
My future is shining bright,
So I say to all you sinners,
Have a restless night,
Because guilt won’t let you rest,
It’ll bring you down, put your strength to the test,
But you ain’t strong,
so down you will go,And I can promise you,
I’ll make your road down
one hell of a show.
