Bec saw the clock ticking past as she tapped the table with her pen rappidly, she was so bored. The teacher was talking but the only thing Bec could hear was white noise, this is like it's always been for her, even though she was extremely intelligent and confident with work, fridays just didn't go well with her. She couldn't wait to get home, to seeu her mum and dad, her seven year old brother, and twenty one year old sister. Bec was the middle child, 15 to be exact. Turning 16 in November, a near 3 months and a half from now.
Bec loved her family, unlike lot's of families, Bec's was supportive and caring. Her parents encouraged her and her sister was a good influence on her, except the fact that she was always in her room.
Suddenly the class door slammed open, awakening Bec from her day dream, Aiden ran through the door, bruses all over his face. "Aiden, it is 40 minutes since class started, sit down now!" Ms Tealy exclaimed, staring Aiden down while he sat on the cushioned seat behind Bec.
"Sorry Ms, I just-" Ms Tealy interrupted. "No excuses" The class went silent. Ms Tealy was not great to be around in this mood, she didn't take anything from disobedient children. Especially Aiden. The class clown, jock, favourite of all girls. He was well known to all in the highschool world. He dated the hot And popular girls, even though Bec was stunning by herself, she was not popular. Bec would never date Aiden, she had no interest with people who disrupted her learning.
Bec rolled her eyes and looked back at the teacher, Aiden smirked behind her. Bec hated Aiden, he was rude but even though she loathed him she couldn't believe Ms Tealy was ignoring his beaten up body.
Bec could hear Aiden whispering to his best friend Kyle. "It was Mark, footy field tackle, it turned into a fight" He was still panting, obviously he had run back to class. "That jerk" Kyle says back. Aiden nods his head still panting and runs his fingers through his hair making his arm muscles flex and the girls around him to sigh. Andrew gives a wink in the general direction of the girls. About 5 girls squeel at this. "Girls, is there something you would like to share with us that is so fascinating?" Ms Tealy scowls at the team of girls blushing red.
"No, Ms Tealy" One of the girls says. Bec looks around again. Why are they interested in that jerk She thinks as she shakes her head and goes back to the load of garbidge Ms Tealy just explained. Usually it would make sense to her, but right now she's not in the mood to work. Last night Bec couldn't sleep. Her neighbours, Mr and Mrs Scanlen had been fighting over something useless and depressing.
The bell rings just as Ms Tealy starts explaining something more complex. Ms Tealy tries to calm down the students but they all run out the door before she can start yelling at them. Bec herself has hurried out as well. Not running but pacing almost. Bec needed to get back home. Her mum and dad meant everything to her, also her brother, Micheal, came home from grade 1 and waited for Bec to walk home so they could play, tag or hide and seek.
Bec's older sister was caring and friendly as well, although she didn't see much of her anyway. Bec's sister, Nancy, was always in her room, probably chatting to her boyfriend, Mitch. Mitch was nice as well, always came to visit Nancy and always gave Bec and Micheal big hugs. Bec respected anyone who treated Micheal nicely.
Bec rushes past the bakery and grabs a loave, her mum always needs a stock of bread somewhere, why not add to it? Bec also walks past a lolly shop and decides to get Micheal some Strawberry and Cream sweets. Micheals Favourite She thought as she pointed to them. The man gave her the bag and she paid and went off. Running past everyone in this lovely street, even the Scanlens were nice, just not to each other.
Bec slams through the door. "I'm home" She gallops into the lounge room where everyone is. She spots Micheal, lifts him up and spins him around.
Micheal smiles and yelps as he sees the sweets, Bec throws them to him and he unsteadily catches them. "Good catch!" Bec encourages. Micheal's smile becomes deeper and joyful. Nothing better then coming home after a long day and being able to hug your family is there?
Bec's mum said hi as well and asked her how her day was. "Fine" Bec lied. Horrible She thought.
Bec never really liked school anymore, well ever since high school, when there started to be a separation between unpopular and the popular. Her mum new something was up but didn't mention it. Bec used to love going to school at primary but now since the change of maturity the struggle to get her up was amazing.
Bec ran upstairs into her room, her dog would be there, Lucy was it's name. As Bec opened the door Lucy jumped off her bed and ran to her, Lucy was small, almost the size of when Bec got her, even though that was only 7 months ago, most dogs grow very fast. Lucy jumped up and licked Bec's face. "Hi Lu Lu!" Bec squealed.
Bec walked into the room, dog in hand, Lucy still tried to lick her face.
Bec opened her pant drawer and pulled out track pants. She set down Lucy who ran downstairs instantly, waiting to be fed by Bec's
Mum, Bec slid down her tights and skirt and pulled up her grey trousers.
She hauled herself on her bed and opened her computer. Bec didn't have Facebook or Skype or anything like that so all she would do all day was study, which in a popular girls life seems pretty useless but to Bec it was all she could think about. She stayed there until dinner, researching what she couldn't learn at school.

The sun started setting as Bec and her family sat down at the dinner table, Rack of lamb was her mum's specialty.
Bec was almost finished the succulent lamb chop when she got a text, she dug through her track pants pocket until she found the smooth edge of her iPhone, it was a text from Lexi, her best friend, who is not in the same class as her. Lexi, along with Ashleigh and Julia, was one of her best friends. Lexi and Julia are in a different class then her, Ashleigh and Bec hang out together in class and work together.
The text read: 'Hey Bec, how was school? sucks we didn't see each other at school. Anyway, theres a party tomorrow at Jackson's. U coming?'
Bec read through this message. Party, at Jackson's? Jackson was Lexi's crush, popular and friends with Aiden. He was also in Lexi's class.
Bec looks up to her family, they are all looking at her in confusion, she realized she had been staring at her phone for a while, thinking of what to text back.
Finally her fingers reach the screen and she starts tapping: 'no thanks, you can go. I have to study, besides I'm not good at social things.' Her fingers find each Letter by theirself.
She knows it's no use when Lexi texts back,: 'please, it will be fun, just stick with Ash, Juls and I and you'll be fine. You've never been to a party before.'
Lexi has obviously beaten Bec at this one, Lexi was always right. Bec texted back 'FINE' in big capital letters.
Bec could basically hear Lexi screaming a jumping around. She knew her too well.
