Chapter 3- running into love

Bec didn't sleep last night, well for one thing, she didn't get home until 4, and another thing, she was thinking about Aiden. She didn't like him, but she knew something was up. Wait. Why was she thinking so much about a boy who she didn't like and knew he didn't like her? Why was she so obsessed with this boy's smile?

Wait. Why was she thinking about him this much? She would usually be thinking about work or important things, definitely not about boys, she would never like Aiden!

She didn't see Lexi last night, she must've gone home with that guy. She went inside later and found the two making out and she didn't want to interrupt them so she just walked back to Lexi's house with Ash and Juls, Ashleigh was now head over heels about that drunk flirt she was chatting up, who she gave her number to. And Juls and Bec are the loners, Bec didn't care, but to Juls, that's what you do at parties, get drunk and find someone as drunk as you to give your number to.

Bec didn't get drunk but later on Ash made her try one drink and now, this morning she has a hangover, Bec has never had a drink in her life.

Bec lifted herself off the spare bed and moaned, she slept for an hour last night, at least it was Sunday, she didn't have to go to school today.

She managed to haul herself off her bed and move downstairs. Lexi was there, smiling, how could she smile if she got less sleep then Bec?

"What are you smiling about" Bec moans rubbing her head

"Why aren't you smiling?" Lexi replies still smiling. She obviously had a good night. What did she do last night? Bec thought.

Lexi smirked at her. "Jason brought me home 2 hours ago, my mum would flip if I wasn't home before she came, she is coming in an hour"

"oh okay" Is all Bec can say. "did you, umm, you know?" She gets out.

"NO! Who do you think I am?" Lexi screams, obviously waking up Ash and Juls because they hear a moan coming from upstairs.

"Ok! Just asking cause I knew you were making out" Bec shouts back. Bec knew that Lexi wouldn't do anything like that but she just wanted to clarify it.

Lexi smiles again. "I gave him my number" she says, showing her dimples even more clearly now. "He said he's gonna call me today." Bec was genuanly happy for Lexi, she never really had a boyfriend before, but she was still confused. "You were drunk Lexi, and what happened to Jackson?" Lexi stared at the ground for a while, "we weren't that drunk, Jason only had 2 and I had about 3, I don't like Jackson, since me and Jason have started going out we love each other" Lexi answered after 3 minutes.

"Love love?"

'Yes Love love" Lexi sighs.

At lunch time, Ash, Juls, Lexi and Bec are up, they are tired and have massive hangovers. Bec doesn't want to go home but she has to, she can't let her mum see her like this so she puts her sunnies on and walks out, diet coke in hand, she's hoping to get a sugar rush by the time she gets there.

The door is already open when she gets to her house, she walks in but is stopped by her mum waiting at the door. "Hi Bec, how was last night?" Bec's mum says, almost too cheerlfully. "Fine" Bec answers and walks through avoiding her mums gaze, she rushes to her room.

Lu Lu is waiting and jumps up to meet her, she almost falls over cause she's so tired. "Hi Lu Lu" She moans uninthusiasticly.

On her desk waits her computer, the background is her and her friends holding a sign saying 'don't forget to smile' usually this would cheer her up but all she wants to do is sleep.

Which she does, for 3 hours and she wakes up to Lu Lu licking her face. "Urgh!" Bec screams, the dog right at her face. She wants a walk. Bec checks her clock, 5pm, Bec gets up, still in her clothes, she walks out of her room. Lu Lu followed her out, her mum was in the kitchen. "Are you up?" Her mum calls once she descends the stairs. "Yes!" She calls back "I'm taking Lu Lu for a walk" Bec put her lead on and walked out the front door.

The town was as beautiful as always. It made every other part of the city look bad, that's why her mum chose this place, it was always friendly.

Lu Lu was going crazy, barking at other dogs, sniffing everywhere. But she was always like this on walks.

30 minutes in she was puffed, she was jogging because Lu Lu was dragging her.

She could see a figure in the background, the broad shoulders were familiar but she couldn't place a finger on it. She kept her head down just incase it was someone who would recognize her.

CRASH! Someone had just crashed into Bec, "sorry, I am so sorry!" Bec cries even though she knew it wasn't her fault. "It's okay, it was my fault" the voice called back, they must've been running really fast because they both staggered back.

Bec scans the person, track pants, grey sweat shirt. Bec flinches when she sees the eyes, an icy blue that reminds her of the sky, and the little gold flakes that show up only when he smiles, they seem to glimmer. Perfect skin. . . Wait.

Bec was standing in front of Aiden.
