I’m almost asleep when I hear someone cough. I look up to see Frank, standing in the doorway.
“Hey Gee.” He says
“Hey Frank. Has Mikey finished recording yet?”
“Nah, not yet. I just wanted to talk to you.” He says. I offer him Mikey’s vacant seat, but he comes down and sits next to me instead. He bumps my shoulder as he does so and my stomach does a flip.
“So, I hear little Gee has a crush on someone?” he says with a smirk on his face.
“Were you eavesdropping on me and Mikey?”
“Maybe” he admits. I look at him and he hurries to explain himself. “I finished recording early and I came in to get Mikey, but it sounded like you were having a pretty serious conversation, so I sat outside and waited for a bit.”
“Oh, okay.” I inwardly swore at myself for being such a loud whisperer.
“So who does little Gee have a crush on?” he asks, nudging me. My stomach does another flip and I feel the blood rise in my cheeks. he looks at me, expecting an answer but I don't know if can answer, so I just stare back.
