Chapter three

Atlas's pov

I wake up and they first thing i notice is the smell of bacon. I seat up and i don't see Alex anymore. I get off the bed, looking around for my pants and i see them folded up neatly on the dresser. I put them on and headed downstairs. When i get to the bottom of the stairs i see him cooking breakfast humming.

"Seems someone's up early." I say smiling and he turns around.

"No, you're just hard to wake up." Alex says pouting.

"Now go and get your butt in the shower and wash up." Alex says with narrow eyes that makes you think his the older brother and goes back to cooking.

I giggled and head back upstairs and into the bathroom. I strip and take a quick shower. As i was drying off i realized i forgot to grab some clothes. I wrap the towel around my waist, got out of the bathroom, and head towards the bedroom. When i open the door i see Alex was at the dresser.

"Weren't you making breakfast?" I asks with my arms crossed.

"I'm done cooking, i'm just waiting for ya to get dressed." Alex says turning around.

Alex's face goes red and i look down and see that my towel fell off.

"Oops, guess i didn't wrap tight enough." I say smiling and a pair of underwear hits my face.

"J-just get dress already!" Alex yells and leaves the room.

I get dress and head out the room. I head downstairs and i see Alex already eating breakfast.

"Looks good." I say and sit beside him.

Once we ate, i take the dish to the sink and head back to the couch.

"So, what's the plan for today?" Alex asks and i think for a moment.

We could see if there is any village or something nearby. I put my finger to my temple and i found a satellite network. I connect to it and use it to map the area.

"K, there should be a village west of here." I tell him and he nods.

"So we going to head to the village and mark it so we can head back and forth with ease." Alex says.

"Yeah, that's the plan for now." I tell him and i get up.

I head to our room and pack for the trip. Once we were done we head downstairs and out of the house. We begin to make our way west of our house.

"So what do you think they are like?" Alex asks.

"By the looks of the place, it's a Japanese village, so as long as we find a secure place to mark we can head back and forth for supplies." I tell him.

"How far is it?" Alex asks.

"Not to far, probably 2 or 3 hours away." I tell him.

As we walk i begin to hear growling. I touch my temple to scan the area and it was a saberpanther. I summon my pistol and it came out of the bushes. Alex seems to notice as well and prepared himself. I fire but he just jumps over the bullets.

"Alex!" I shout and he charges the beast.

He swings his blades and hit its fangs, but they didn't break. I cast shadow shackles making him unable to move letting Alex have time to back up.

"His fangs are tough." Alex says and i realize his swords are broken.

"Yeah, so maybe if we kill it we can trade in for cash." I say and summon a staff.

The panther breaks free and i jump into air. He jumps after me and i hook its neck with my staff, slamming it into the ground.

"Alex!" I shout.
