"Psst psst, Ben. Ben can you hear me?" yeah Jamie, it so happened to be that I have ears, but do you really think it is a smart idea to be talking right now?"
"SILENCE IN MY CLASSROOM!" A loud voice echoed through the class; Professor Stone was not someone you could mess with. "yes sir." Answered the class. "But really Ben, the Golden Lion just arrived in the dock. We have to go and see..." Jamie was interrupted by the thrilling sound of a ruler hitting human flesh. The Stone was coming, and it wasn't going to be nice. He should learn to listen to me more often. I thought to myself "So, mister Clayton, last time we did your left hand, I think. So, we are taking your right hand now. you can put it on the table right here." Right before the ruler hit Jamie's hand the door opened. On the threshold stood a small but intimidating young woman, some would even say a teenager. Knock....Knock...Knock. "Mister Stone I highly request that you leave the poor boy alone and follow me outside please" The woman had an oddly familiar voice; it was like the voice that tells you to skip that one last hour of school, to curse at your father. The voice that tells you step up your game and do what you want, to live your life. Altogether, it was terrifying.
I looked at Jamie and he had the same confused look on his face. What just happened? Professor stone put down his ruler and followed the woman out of the room. The door closed and everyone began to talk. "What was that all about?" I asked as I turned my face to Jamie. "I don't know man, I don't know. But I don't think he is coming back so let's go and see the ship!" Jamie said. "I guess you're right, let's go." I said as I got up and left the classroom. "Jamie? Why is this Golden Lion so special?" A woman on the other side of the road overheard them and started walking a little bit faster. "This... I will tell you my friend, there is an old man's tale about this ship, maybe even a legend: Once it was the most feared pirate ship of all the seven seas. Every time they attacked a ship, they killed all the crew on board. They would start at the captain, he was an example for the others. The crew members would get ten seconds to give the first mate a reason to let them live. If he wasn't convinced you would lose your head. Only one member of the crew would be set free. He was the one that lived to tell the tale. The Golden Lions were undefeated, some even say they used magic; but that's bullshit of course. The captain of the ship never showed himself, unless you were going to die. The captain always did the execution. The whole ship was a mystery until it was found completely empty drifting on the ocean. Now the government has claimed the ship and is restoring it into a place for hotels and parties. I think it is a real shame." Jamie fell silent at the sight of the ship; it really was a beautiful ship. But there was something weird about it. There was no wind but still were the sails catching some; also, there were no people on it. "Let's sit down here, I'm hungry and we have a perfect view." I said to Jamie. "I know where we can get a better view..." Jamie said while he pointed at the ship. "No, I am not going to risk getting caught and ending up in jail." Jamie rolled with his eyes. "you are no fun." "Hey guys!" Said a bright voice behind us. It was my little sister Mila. "Mila, what are you doing here? You should still be in school!" I said "no, we all got to go because miss Daring had a heart attack. So I came here to check out the ship." A small boat tried to reach the ship but as soon as it got closer started to sink. The dude at the wheel quickly turned back to the shore. "Holy shit! Am I the only one who saw that?! The boat can't reach the ship." I said "Uhh, Ben your full of shit." Mila said to me, but I know the truth, there is something weird about this ship. "that is great and all, but can we go check out the ship now please?" Asked Jamie annoyed. "Yeah sure! Sounds fun." Before I could protest, were they already climbing in a small rowing boat. "Ben! Are you coming?" Jelled Jamie. I rolled my eyes and walked to the boat. "I don't agree with this idiotic plan, but there has to be at least one adult to safe you asses when this backfires." Mila was trying not to laugh wile Jamie started rowing. When we got closer the ship was even more beautiful, I couldn't take my eyes of of it. "Uh guys! Why are we sinking?!" Jamie said with a panicked voice. "what the hell is this!" screamed Mila scared. "this also happened to that other sailor I saw!" I said to Mila. "this isn't the time; we have to swim!" Jelled Jamie while he jumped in the water. "Aaah! The water is so cold!" I said as I tried the water with my toe. We swam the last bit back to the shore. We climbed out of the water and all of the sudden the woman from earlier appeared in front of us. "what were you lad thinking?! Trying to get on my ship." Oh my god, the ship was from this mysterious woman. I wonder what she wanted from mister stone. "your ship? I thought it was property of the government." Jamie asked. "Yes, the government thinks that too, but it still belongs to me.
I can tell you the story if you want. But not now. An other time..." She turn around, about to walk away when I said: "So your not going to tell us why every ship that comes too close sinks to the bottom of the sea? It would be rather inconvenient if the rest of the town found out that the Golden Lion indeed has magic." I didn't even think about the fact that this counts as blackmailing. The woman stood still for a moment; I felt her smirking without having to see her face. Something about this woman made me want to follow her around just to see what would happen. "So Bennie-Boy has balls now." She said as she turned back around. "How... how do you know my brothers name?" Mila asked confused. "I know all of your names; you are Mila. Spicy girl; Jamie. acts tuff but is actually a real sweetheart. And no I am not a stalker - well, maybe a little bit - but I knew your grandmother for a very long time." Jamie stepped in front of Mila to protect her from miss mystery-woman. "But if you guys really want to see my ship I guess that can be arranged." She said right before she snapped her fingers and everything around us turned pitch-black.
