never knew you could mean so much

ethan's pov;

I took a sip of my beer as I waited for half the guys to get ready. I swear down, some of them took longer then the girls to get ready.

"I really need to get laid tonight." Alex sighs, leaning back into the sofa. I chuckle lightly at his comment.

"Well, I'm sure they'll be someone at the club for you." I laugh.

"What about you bro?" Alex says. "April giving you everything you need?" he says, punching my arm, laughing.

"Not that it's any of your business, but nah." I sigh, shaking my head.

"Seriously?" Alex stops laughing.

"Why are you with her then?" he asks.

"I don't know. We met at work and it was fun sneaking around. Then I don't know... we became official and she got boring I guess." I sigh.

"Ethan Dolan. It's been 4 fucking years." Alex says, a weird looking smirk on his face as he stared at me.

"What?" I ask, clearly confused as to what the fuck he was talking about.

"You still like Violet, don't you?" Alex says, shaking his head.

Shaking my head smiling, I push him so he nearly falls off the couch, "No. She's got a guy." I say, defensively. I was lying to myself. I knew it. Grayson knew it. And now Alex knew it.

"Fuck no. You still like her. I saw how you guys looked at each other." he smiles, laughing as he sits back up properly. I shake my head laughing at this idiot.

"So...has anything happened?" he asks. "Just between us." Alex says, raising his eyebrows.

"Kind of." I say, scrunching up my face.

"Holy fuck." he says, his eyes widening.

"No!" I exclaim, knowing exactly what he was thinking. "We didn't fuck for Christ's sake. We just kissed." I say, my voice low, so no one else could hear us.

"Shit bro." he says, a smile on his face.

"Between us, I think you guys are like meant for each other. Jamie just feels off." he says.

I smile at the thought of Violet, her cute smile flashing through my mind.

Thank God, I wasn't the only one that had noticed Jamie didn't seem right.

"Have you told her yet? About Alicia?" Alex asks.

I take a deep breath, sighing heavily. "No. I haven't." I say.

"I'm not sure how to." I admit.

"I know, it takes time." Alex says, reassuring me.

"What about your dad?" Alex asks, clearly feeling sympathy towards me.

"No. Gray said that we'd need to break the news at the right time." I sigh. I hated hiding things like this from her, but I knew how distraught she'd be if she found out.

"Make sure you do it soon." Alex says.

"I know." I say, sipping my drink.

"We ready to go?" Grayson asks. Alex and I turn around and everyone is finally ready to leave.

"Fucking finally!" I exclaim, getting up. Shawn laughs at me. We all order an uber, getting ready to go to a strip club. Yeah, it was Grayson's idea, even though he was the only one who was in an actual relationship. Unlike me, who had just cheated on their girlfriend. It was so worth it though.

I decide that I should probably tell April tomorrow. I didn't need that on my conscious, and besides, I don't even think she likes being here so it'd be good if she went home.

We all reach the strip club that had the best ratings online. We walk inside, the familiar smell of alcohol and sweat hitting me immediately.

A look of disgust washes over me, before my senses adjust to the atmosphere, the low, pink coloured lights around me, flashing, as well as the strippers, dancing around poles, some on the stages and some on the floor.

We all look around, heading towards the bar. I needed some liquor in my system. The beer wasn't doing me through.

"Fucking hell, she's sexy." Alex says, referring to a stripper. She was wearing lacy red lingerie. I look at her pale, soft skin as she stares at the both of us, a small smirk on her lips.

Alex looks at me like a happy child.

"You do know you can't fuck the strippers?" I say, practically shouting over the loud music playing.

Alex rolls his eyes, as if he did know, before leaving and going towards the dance floor. I went back to the bar, a bottle of beer in my hand as I looked around the club. When I was eighteen, this would've excited me, but now? I would rather be at home cuddled up with Violet, watching one of her shitty Netflix shows.

Shawn sits down next to me, as does Grayson.

"What the fuck is up with you?" Shawn asks.

"Nothing. Just feel too old for all this shit." I shrug, taking another swig of my beer.

"Damn, since when does Ethan Dolan not like partying?" Shawn says.

"Since he wants to just settle down and find a wifey." I shrug, smiling.

"Like you bro." Grayson shrugs, agreeing with me.

"Trust me, all this wedding stuff is stress. After our honeymoon, I'm straight off on tour." Shawn says.

"I love touring but at the same time, I need time with my wife." he says, raising his eyebrows as he thinks about it.

"Jheez, this guy really out here moaning about being rich." I laugh, pointing at Shawn.

"Shut the fuck up." Shawn laughs, shaking his head.

"Speaking of, that stripper's been staring at you for the past five minutes." Grayson says, looking up and directing his head at the stage.

"Go on Shawn. You gotta get a lap dance once before you become a married man." I say, nudging him. He chuckles lightly, before sitting down on the chair, right next to her. Will and Alex were also with him.

I shook my head, laughing.

"Yo, 2 o'clock." Grayson says, pointing his eyes in a certain direction. My eyes whip towards his before looking at Jamie. His hands all over another girl as well as the fact that he was kissing her.

That son of a bitch.

I stand up, ready to beat the living shit out of him, but Grayson holds my arm, standing up next to me.

"Look, I know you wanna beat the shit out of him right now, because so do I, but just think. It's Shawn's bachelor party. We'd ruin it." Grayson leans towards me so I could hear him.

I look at Shawn who had a smile on his face as a stripper was twerking on stage. Alex was laughing like a small kid too, giving money to them.

I look back at Grayson. His expression was just as angry as mine. I look around for Jamie but he was no longer here.

"Where did the fucker go?" I growl, angrily.

"Shit, I have no idea." Grayson says, his eyes darting around the club. We look around but we can't find him anywhere.

"We'll deal with him later alright?" Grayson says. I nod, trying to push the thought down but I couldn't.  All I could think about was the amount of hurt this would bring to her. She was supposed to be happy. Her best friend was getting married.

Instead, Jamie was going to shatter her heart.

Just like I had.

Anger running through me, I turn around to face the bar tender, ordering a round of tequila shots.
