Being a Teen

Being a teenager means only one thing: TROUBLE. Trouble with life, parents, studies, friends etc. etc. Before 13, you're 12 and this means you're still a kid who has to obey mom and dad. Going 13 means that your hard life is beginning and you try to discover yourself and you start requiring your space. What I don't get is, why parents don't understand this? They just make it harder. Or are they confused themselves? Because they don't get when the right time is to "place" themselves there. We need to know how we are going to live our lives. What choices do we have to make. They just don't allow us to explore.
The parent part is one problem. But another one is the lying. This comes with being a teen. No matter how hard you try, you just lie. It's like you have to. It's not an option. It's a need.
With lying, comes the anger and emotions. It's like buy one, get 2 free. Or maybe 3 free. Or 4. You just lash out at anything that's offending you. It's like a weapon you use for defense, but it only makes you look guiltier. I've noticed that I cry at very little things which aren't something to cry on or about. It's just there.
The biggest "thing" about being a teen is making mistakes. Those regretful ones from which you learn, but still repeat sometimes. It's just that you have to make mistakes to actually know life. To know you.
The most important aspect of being a teen is that it's the age line during which you get to know the world and and find the truths and learn the rights and the wrongs and all the things that make you independent and strong.
It is what it is.
