"Ella! Hurry downstairs! You're gonna be late for the last day of school!" My mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I knew I got my lazy genes from her, she wasn't even bothered to walk upstairs. I groaned loudly so she could hear and forced myself out of heaven so I could enter hell. I rushed into the bathroom, stripped, walked into the shower slowly since I knew the water was going to be cold. I shivered from the thought and forced myself to go underneath the water.

Oh my gawd this is so cold. When I finished I pushed myself out of the now sorta warm shower and into the freezing air. Why do I do this to myself. I quickly grabbed a towel and dried my body, then put my hair into the towel and started to brush my teeth. Yes, I know I didn't have breakfast yet, but I normally go to 7/11 and get a coffee. Anyways I'd be too lazy to walk back upstairs to brush my teeth after eating cereal. Yuck, even the thought of eating cereal makes me want to vomit in my mouth. I walked to my dressing room and picked out some cute clothes.

A Stranger Things hoodie and tights, perfect. I grabbed some Nike runners and walked out of my room, grabbing my bag, my laptop and my phone. I smiled at the thought of my new prank; when Principal Wallice finds his room full of slime he will definitely give me a detention. I put my shoes on once I got to the bottom of the stairs and quickly picked up my keys from the kitchen bench, hugged my mom and was about to leave. She grabbed my hand and took out a pair of earrings. "I am not wearing those." I said, determined. "Pleaseee, I want you to at least wear some sort of jewellery. It's your last day as a junior and these specific earrings are my favourite. You're lucky that you're even allowed to wear them." She pleaded with me. I laughed, my mom adored jewellery, even though I hated it.

She always smiled whenever I bought her some and I'd always enjoy seeing the beautiful grin that she would show me. Now I remember it, these were the first ever earrings I bought her. She'd wear them every time we hung out together, which we haven't done for a few months now. I smiled at the thought of us singing in my car and laughing at mom-jokes.

I took the earrings, put them on the kitchen bench, kissed my mom's cheek, and left, while grabbing a twenty dollar bill from her back pocket. Don't worry guys, I'm not stealing, she knows I took it.

"Bye Mom!" I yelled from the door. "You'll wear those earrings one day!" Is all she yelled back. At that moment I chuckled and ran to my car, opened the front door and left to go to hell. At least I'll give the devil something back when I give all the torture he gives me, back to him. I reversed out of the driveway and left my home, relaxed and ready for an awesome last day.

*Whispers to self: Just keep saying it and then you might start believing it too*
