"I'M HERE!" I yell as loudly as I can for first period. I could hear snickers coming from the students around me. When I walked through the school, everyone was staring at me, knowing my reputation. I was stuck in the hallway, dealing with trash, uh I mean "Miss Popular", and that's caused me to be late- it's not my fault she spilled her Starbucks frappe on a sophmore.
"Miss Hart! You better have a good explanation for being late and then interrupting my class by yelling out at me. I would give you detention but it never works anyways and that'll just allow you to leave the classroom so sit down in your seat and be QUIET." Mrs Rosewood says loudly.
I know that she is dead serious so I smile innocently and walk to the back of the class, putting my feet up and as I start to listen. Mrs Rosewood is my favourite teacher because she doesn't fall for my tricks. I love how much stronger she is compared to the others, so I always let her off easily. // After a while I heard the random kid in front of me counting. "One..... two.... three..." he muttered. I thought he had some issues but kept to myself before I heard a loud noise that made my ears hurt.
BRINGGGG
I was the last person out of class. Everyone always rushed out but I took my time. It's not like anyone'll notice, except I always put an entrance whenever I walk into a class. No matter which class it was. Mrs Rosewood's English Class was different, mostly because she didn't get affected by my rebellious-ness.
Ya know how there's always the "It Girl", the "Football Captain" and the "Bad Boy" in cliche high schools. I'm different. I'm as popular as the "It Girl", as loved as the "Football Captain" and as sneaky as the "Bad Boy". Everyone loves me except those three people, probably cause of jealousy that I'm better than all of them. During my thoughts I hear the announcement bell interrupting History Class.
"Miss Ella Hart. Please make your way to the Principal's office. NOW!" The loud speaker said. I was curious as to why I was being called up there. I hadn't even put the prank in his room yet. Everyone laughed quietly thinking that I did another prank. I put on a huge, cocky smirk and walked out of the class, bringing my stuff with me, with my back straight, looking proud of something, even though I had no idea what I had done this time.
When I got to the office, Principal Wallice didn't look mad. He even had an expression of sympathy while looking straight into my deep brown eyes. He's never looked this bad before. His hair was messy as if he had run his hands through it multiple times today. He looked tired and beaten, with his shoulders slumped and his natural leader-like attitude lost. It seemed as if he was a brand new person, but a messed up one.
I was extremely curious as to why I was here, but then I saw something that I couldn't take my eyes off for a while. My mom's car keys. They were right in front of the principal sitting in front of me, with nothing around it. I wondered why they were there but then my eyes widened to the size of soccer balls and looked back at my principal. "What the hell, Wallice?" I sneered, hiding my shocking thoughts underneath it.
"I am extraordinarily sorry, Ms hart- Ella." He corrected himself. "I hope you can agree to my thoughts even though you haven't finished school here. Your mother has, s-she has died in a car crash this morning. I am so very sorry. You are being taken out of this school to go and live with your father in California. You will go to school there for your senior year. I hope you can forgive me for agreeing to this and I also hope you can accept my apology."
"Your mother's house is going to be sold and the money will be added to your bank account. All of your items that you would like to keep will be taken to your father's home. Now go say goodbye to all of your friends. You will start packing today." Principal Wallice continued his small rant quietly. I stand there, in front of the doorframe, unable to speak and my mouth hanging a open a bit. I must seem more shocked by this information than I thought because Principal Wallice didn't look like he was waiting for me, instead, letting me insert all of the horrific information into my mind. I started to feel a burning pain in my heart, but I didn't believe him, I couldn't.
