Kirishima's P.O.V
Once in science, I sat down at one of the back tables away from the teacher. While all of them know about which students have disabilities, it didn't stop me from avoiding teachers unless absolutely necessary. From the back of the class, I could see the other students walking in. Of course there was Bakugou, who decided on a front seat in class. The only other kid I recognized was the green haired boy from earlier in fifth period. Which at the moment sat near the center of class. Taking out a black notebook, I sat it on my desk prepared for the first days notes. Instead the teacher, who was sitting on a stool in the front of class had different ideas.
"Good afternoon class. Today I've decided to have some fun, so we will be conducting an experiment. Most of you may have heard about this type of experiment called 'elephants toothpaste'. We will make a small chemical reaction and you will record the data in your science notebook. Now, I've already partnered you up, so check the clipboard right here and get to work!" She finished her mini speech, setting a small clipboard on the stool and walk to her desk to take attendance. Well just great. More social time! Just what I need in a class full of people I don't know. Walking up to the clipboard, I see a name I don't recognize; Izuku Midoriya.
I probably got paired with someone I don't know who will make my situation of being unable to speak worse. I just slump at my desk, which now has different beakers, droppers, and chemicals on it. Sitting down at my desk, I notice the green haired boy is the only one with a partner. So that's Midoriya. Now I have a name. Sitting up a little taller, I at least know we were on good terms and had previously met. I'm quick to write a note in my journal and walk over to him. Tapping him on the shoulder, he looks at the paper I've written on 'Are you Izuku Midoriya?' He simply nods his head, making me feel a bit better about this situation. "Can I sit there?" he asks in a cheery voice, pointing to the seat next to mine. Nodding, he begins to ask a million questions at once.
"Oh, your the kid from earlier this morning! That drawing of me and Shoto was really good." Blushing at the compliment, I write a quick 'thanks' in my journal and show him. "Are you mute selectively or can you really not speak?" 'No, I wish I could talk' I write down, sliding him the journal and picking up the different beakers to begin the project. Looking up I glance over at Bakugou, who at the moment, looks very annoyed from the guy sitting next to him. "Oh, that's Bakugou, do you know him?" he said, picking up the sheet of paper with the instructions for the experiment. 'Yes' I wrote, keeping the note simple and plain. "That's cool. I've known him since we were little. We used to go to this park with our moms and play around. He always had this explosive personality and wasn't very fond of many people, including me. He always thought I was babying him because he's deaf. Anyways..." he began mumbling about another topic, but I wasn't really listening.
Picking up a beaker labeled 'Chemical A' I poured 10mL in the thin tube. Then, taking the graduated cylinder, I sat on the tray so the 'toothpaste' wouldn't get everywhere. How easy can this class get? Just as I was measuring 'Chemical B' a loud groan and laugh was heard from the front. It was Bakugou and his partner, who now had an overflowing tube of blue foam. It filled the tray, table and floor. And if the day couldn't get worse, the bell rang through the halls and room. Without another thought, Bakugou's partner grabbed his bag and notebook and ran into the hallway. The other kids started cleaning up their own experiments, while Bakugou just kind of sat there. After emptying the beakers and tubes, I put them on the back counter to air day for the next class.
Grabbing my bag, I walk by his desk, the blue coloring staining his blazer jacket. He looked about ready to kill someone, and I'm sure he would if his partner wasn't already gone. Grabbing a few paper towels from the teachers desk, she walks over to us both. "I don't have a class this period so it's okay if this takes a while to clean, I will write you both a note for your next classes so they won't count you late." she says, handing us both two yellow sheets of paper with a her signature. Grabbing them, we both put them in our bags and begin cleaning the desk. "That was a pretty shitty move." I wrote in my notebook, flashing it to him just long enough so the teacher didn't read it. "Tell me about it. How hard is it to pour one chemical into the other? He said he measured it wrong but how do you mistake 10mL for 100mL?" he said, wiping up the foam and letting it absorb into the paper towel before throwing it away. Taking my own wad of paper towels, I wipe the floor and throw them away. Walking back over, He takes off his blue stained blazer. Taking off my own I wrap it around his shoulders taking his stained one, pulling the drawing out of the blazer pocket and sticking it in the one he had on. Tying it around my waist and walk out of the room to my next geometry class while he walks to the art room in the opposite direction.
A/N So this one isn't my usual 1000 words but I really like how this one turned out. Do you think I should do art class with Bakubae or skip straight to the end of the day? Thank you for reading! Comments and votes are always appreciated! Love you all >//o//<
