Chapter Three: The Victory Tour

When Cashmere had arrived back in the room after she had realised Lucy and Marvel were not following, Marvel glared at her for taking Gloss' place and Lucy looked at Cashmere innocently. She wanted to know just as much as Marvel what had happened to Gloss but they still hadn't had any answers. Yet, they had asked too many times and it was probably a personal question as to where he was. So, instead Lucy cleared her throat and stood up.

"How long is the trip to District 12?" Lucy asked Cashmere.

"It's quite a way but I can assure you the trip will be less than a day." Cashmere replied. "So I suggest you both find something to do on the trip, otherwise you'll be bored out of your minds."

Lucy sat back down next to Marvel and she stared at her feet. She had no idea what to do for the rest of the trip and was worried to explore the train alone in case she got lost, as she was prone to doing. So, before she could get up and even think about getting lost, Marvel stared at Cashmere.

"Where's Gloss?" Was all he said. Cashmere didn't say anything for a moment and then she opened her mouth then quickly closed it.

"Marvel, I've told you I — "  Cashmere began but Marvel held up a hand.

"Stop making excuses and just tell us."

"This isn't our business, Marvel," Lucy whispered and held onto his arm. "We shouldn't intrude on what's private."

"No, we have the right to know. He's our mentor and we want to know where he is." Marvel replied sharply and Cashmere turned back to Marvel after she had been in deep thought.

"If I'm honest, I haven't seen him since I arrived in the Capitol and he got on a train back to District 1."

"What did he say to you?"

"He said to me: thank you for coming, Cashmere, just look after Lucy and Marvel for me and make sure they get home safely. Then he left before I could say anything else to him. He did seem pretty rushed and worried though, he seemed pretty scared for you kids."

"So he should, we've been pretty scared for him too." Marvel spat back with a sneer.

"I'm sure that he'll be back soon to see you, I'm sure he's missing you two already."

Marvel and Lucy remained silent as Marvel looked away and Lucy made her expression unreadable as Cashmere picked up a piece of paper and began writing on it frantically; Lucy and Marvel needed speeches.

"I'm going to go explore," Lucy said and stood up again and walked towards the nearest door which slid open and she was able to walk through and start her exploring. She didn't really know where she was going but she wanted to be alone for a little while, she was a little overwhelmed to be thrown back into the Capitol's clutches again.

Lucy walked down the train as she composed herself every now and then because she could feel her nerves rising. She couldn't help but feel scared about going to District 12 despite the fact their tributes were both alive and probably making their way to District 11 to start their Victory tour. It was as though her and Marvel were still guilty of something towards District 12, yet they hadn't done anything too severe (they had tried to kill Katniss and Peeta but at least they were both still alive...)

"You've done nothing wrong," she whispered to herself quietly as she entered a room which was much like the trains 'living room' except it was smaller and looked rather comfortable with all the chairs to sit on.

Lucy stepped over to the chair and picked up to the remote next to it. It was a high tech remote which was obviously used in the Capitol and made in District 3 —
