A knock on the door woke Rose from her stressful slumber, she sighed in annoyance as the knocking continued wishing for whoever woke her to just go away. She didn't get much sleep last night from overthinking the Shawn situation. As the knocking got louder and more impatient she could already assume who this was. "What do you want Shawn?" The annoyance clear in her voice.
"It's time to get up Rosey. We have a meeting with Vince in an hour and an interview before RAW." He stated plainly. Finally grabbing her phone she looked at the time, 10 AM. She had slept late, though she wasn't too upset, needing all the rest she could at this point.
She sighed as she got out of bed, she was in a simple tank top with shorts that reached mid-thigh, opening the hotel room door to be greeted by Shawn already dressed for the day, she didn't think anyone could wear so much black other than the Undertaker. He wore a black shirt with a leather jacket to cover it. Completing the look with jeans and boots. HIs hair tied back in a basic ponytail.
"You going to a funeral?" She asked sarcastically, watching Shawn roll his eyes before pushing past her walking into her hotel room. "Um excuse you."
Shawn turned back to her with his annoying smirk already on his face. "What is it Rosey? Not used to having men in your hotel rooms?"
She rolled her eyes in return before speaking. "First we're going to lay down some rules. Okay?" She asked, tilting her head slightly to the right, leaving the door open so she could shove him out if need be. "First rule, you're not to call me Rosey. It's far too cringey." Shawn let out a sigh before letting her continue. "Second, you can't just barge in my hotel rooms like this. Maybe your past managers let you into their rooms without much thought, but not this one. So please.. Out." Her arm extended with her finger pointing towards the rooms entrance.
Shawn scoffed before locking his eyes with her own. "Luckily for me, I don't follow rules too well." The smile growing on his face. "Plus you shared a room with Steve when you traveled together? You don't want to share a room with me?" His voice slipping into the teasing tone he loved to carry.
"I roomed with Steve because I trusted him, the same can not be said for you, so again. Out. The sooner you leave the sooner I can get dressed for this oh so important meeting." Her voice taking a mocking tone at the end.
"Fine, fine. You'll warm up to me eventually though. They always do." He winked at her before leaving the room, shutting the door behind him. Rose quickly locked the door before he could reopen it. She rested her hand on the door before letting out a soft sigh, then heading to get dressed.
Shawn, Hunter, and Chyna were all waiting in the lobby, each becoming slightly more impatient as each moment passed. "Vince isn't a patient man Shawn, she needs to hurry." Hunter spoke in annoyance, Shawn nodded in reply.
After a few more moments passed Shawn let out a sigh, Heading towards the elevators. As the doors opened there stood Rose. "Sorry I'm late." She spoke in a simple tone as she walked past him already heading for the door.
Shawn however seemed to be frozen in place, Rose was dressed in a pink top, blue jeans and tan heels to match. Her hair was curled with light makeup showing off her features. It was such a simple look but the way she carried and dressed herself was much more different than what he was used to from past managers. Others would dress more sexually mostly just to please himself or Hunter. But Rose didn't.. And that just made him even more curious.
Hunter bumped his shoulder into Shawn's knocking him out of his trance. "You're staring." He spoke with a smirk as Shawn's eyebrows furrowed and a look of confusion covered his face.
"No I wasn't." He replied. "She just.." he paused, searching for the right words. "Is different." His eyes never leaving her, she was now standing outside the glass doors in front of the hotel by Chyna, waiting on them and the limo.
"And is different a good thing?" Hunter asked curiously. Shawn wasn't one to really react like this, especially not over one girl anyway. "Not falling for the girl are you?" He asked seriously.
"Of course not." He replied. "It's just, you see the way girls dress around us. Rose doesn't do that.. It's.. different." He shook his head slightly before laughing "It's whatever, come on we gotta go before Vince kills us." Hunter nodded as they headed for the door.
Rose was talking with Chyna, their first actual conversation away from work and it seemed to be going well, they were both laughing and smiling.
"I know Shawn can be a bit overwhelming. But everything will be fine." Chyna spoke in a soft tone trying to comfort Rose about the whole situation. "You'll have Hunter and myself here to help you feel more comfortable."
Rose smiled gratefully. "That means a lot, thank you. I guess i'm just scared for RAW tonight.. You know Steve will have a lot to say." Emphasizing the word "lot". Chyna nodded in understanding giving her an almost sympathetic look, she knew this was the last thing Rose wanted, but she was going to try and make it better in any way she could.
Seconds later the Limo pulled up just as Shawn and Hunter exited the building. "About time" Rose joked. Shawn laid his arm across her shoulder to which her body stiffened before forcing itself to relax. Surprisingly Shawn opened the door for them letting herself and Chyna in first.
"We gotta get to the office quick, Vince will have our heads mounted on the wall." Shawn spoke quickly as they all got comfortable in the limo.
Rose had never really been inside a limo before, all her rides to the arena were with Steve in his truck. The seats were a black leather with the windows tinted. The ride to the office was filled with Shawn and Hunter talking about some match coming up, she didn't pick up most of the conversation.
An hour later they walked into Vince's office, Vince was sat at his desk with a scowl on his face. "And just where have you four been?" He spoke impatiently.
Shawn pointed towards Rose. "Someone slept in." She instantly gave an annoyed looked "Wasn't able to get much sleep last night." She stated simply as she sat in one of the four chairs Vince had prepared for the meeting.
"So what is this meeting about Vince?" Hunter questioned
"Steve brought something into light this morning. And I fear it's a big problem for all of us." He stated as calmly as he could, though the fear was easily detected.
Rose's head perked up at the mention of Steve and she chuckled softly making everyone in the room look at her. Vince's face grew back to the impatient look he carried before. "Do you know this news Rose?!" She nodded with a smirk.
Shawn stepped closer to her placing his hand on her shoulder "What is it?" He looked quite nervous himself at this point, she laughed softly once more.
"Oh Shawn" she began. "You were all so busy trying to get me to join you that you overlooked one huge detail."
"What detail?!" He was growing more impatient by the second though anyone could notice he was trying to be as calm as he could.
"Undertaker is now your number one contender for that." She pointed to the title laying over his shoulder. "And you know how he gets when he's after a championship."
They all grew silent and they all debated what they were going to do about this, she knew she wasn't safe in this situation either now that she was with them, But for the moment she was going to enjoy this moment of shock for them.
