"Henry..." Erin stumbles in the ankle high water, "Henry!" Her voice frantic as she realises who it is. Henry sits up shakily and Erin runs to his side, her arms wrapping around his frail frame, supporting what's left of his starved body. It has obviously been keeping him in its den-
"Erin?" His voice trembles as he still gasps for air. Erin pulls him onto her lap and keeps his head out of the now only trickling stream. She splutters as she attempts to form words,
"Where did you go? Where did it take you? Henry I've been shitting myself- are you hurt... I can't-"
"Shh..." he lengthens the sigh, ushering her ear close to his pale lips. She leans down and takes a breath before he speaks, "you don't have to be afraid."
"What?"
"You don't have to be afraid..." Henry shudders with a laugh and Erin glances up. His gaze directed to a white figure barely recognisable in the blackness of the tunnel. "It is only trying to help you-"
"Help me with what?" Erin supports Henry as he begins to stand up, his limbs give way a few times so she catches him. He steadily stands straight and stares into her eyes. Her lip quivers as his eyes are blank. Henry breathes heavily before taking a sharp turn and throwing Erin towards the figure. Her feet trip over themselves as she stumbles, her arms reach frantically as she flails to grab anything sturdy, her eyes dart as her body falls-
Gone... she loses control of her body as she immediately feels weightless. Her eyes glaze over as her jaw drops, her limbs hang as her brain numbs... the deadlights... Henry claps and laughs dangerously as he watches closely,
"You see, darlin'. All is well here in Derry! But it only will be if you see, if you truly see what secrets lie beneath this shit hole of a town. Open your eyes Erin, see the world as it really is!" His voice echoes into silence as a piercing ringing hits her like a wall. She lands hard on the ground and catches her breath in the thick and pungent air, this isn't the river. She lifts herself onto her knees and furrows her eyebrows as she examines the gloomy surroundings, "we had to bring you back here baby. You see, Pennywise thought you wouldn't like him if he didn't show you- show you..." his face drops but lifts after he seemingly forgets what he was speaking about. Erin sits, watching Henry intently as he potters about, as if this were normal. "We brought you back to the cave, isn't it cool? This is the secret part though, don't tell anyone..." Henry's eyes flash crazy and Erin stands,
"Is this under-"
"Under the hatch? Mhm. And this is where the clown rests. This is where we bring his meals." Henry kicks a pebble as he shoves his hands into his pockets, "make yourself at home." He wonders off. Erin struggles to comprehend what is happening as she watches him just aimlessly wonder.
"Come closer." She jolts as the voice whispers, "come on-" she does as it says and takes a sharp breath as an eye suddenly peeks from behind a sharp... thing. Almost like a crown of toothpicks in the centre if this gut-like cavern. Erin's lips are sealed as she is forced closer to the eye, now larger than her own head. It blinks slowly as innocence gazes at her,
"What do you want?"
"I'm hungry!" It wines, the strain in its voice bounces round the cave. It moves slowly and rises to it's full height, its limbs giant and crooked, resembling some sort of spider crab. Erin joins it, standing, her body once again being controlled by the beast. Its lip curls into what vuagely displays a smile and leans down to her, barely a breath touching her face, yet it is so close she can smell it. Erin blankly stares at a globe of drool dropping silently down its lip and running into the shallow water on the ground. "You know what to do, Erin. You've done a good job. Now don't let me down his time!" It swings it's arm and picks her and Henry off the ground, sweeping them into the entrance to it's den, "you both will work for me now." The tone changes as it steams towards them. They stand ground and it pauses as it thinks, "find me what I want and I will reward you." Henry's smile twists while Erin chuckles. He takes her hand and they climb out, back up to the streets of Derry.
