Would You Believe Me?

AN EXPLANATION.

Jane watched the bubbly girl walk towards the door. Her violet eyes were wide. She stood quickly, almost losing her balance.

  "Wait, wait, wait. Hold on just a moment. Who are you? Where am I?" Jane asked as she fixed her glasses. Looking around, she saw that she was surrounded with beds. Could this be a medical room? One bed looked entirely scorched, while the other was blasted to bits. Her friends had definitely been here.

  "Well, my name is Cortana! Princess and future queen of Belivia." Cortana said with a prideful smile.

  Jane blinked, "Princess? Belivia? I-.. Where are my comrades?" She said calmly.

  "The angry one and the one with the funny voice? They're waiting with my big sis right now! Cmon, I'll take you to them!" Cortaba grinned.

  And then they were off. Cortana led Jane through long corridors that shined with pristine beauty. She appeared to be in a castle, but she had no idea what material it was made of. After going up a few flights of stairs, they reached a large set of doors. A pair of guards pushed them open, which revealed a throne room. On a large throne that glowed blue, sat a beautiful woman. Jane felt small in her presence. That must be the queen.

  "Gal! I brought the last one!" Cortana shouted.

  The woman smiled and stood, her dress draping over her legs elegantly. She walked down the stairs that led to her throne, and then towards Jane.

  "Welcome, traveler! My name is Queen Galexia. I'm sure you're very confused where you are. I assure you, all will be explained." The queen smiled kindly.

  "My partners, where are they?" Jane asked. Before Galexia could reply, a door across the room opened. Charlie and Penny walked out happily, shoving pastries into their mouths.

  "Thwis is dewiscious," Penny said with her mouth full before noticing Jane, "Jwane! You'we awake!" She said as she quickly swallowed her food. She ran over, Charlie following quickly behind.

Jane huffed a sigh of relief before looking at Galexia, "Now, explain everything." she said sternly.

  Galexia nodded, "You've been asleep for a few hours. You three fell through a green opening, right into our courtyard. My guards found you and alerted me, and we brought you our sick-bay to treat any wounds you might've had. I assure you, you're in safe hands," Galexia said softly, careful as to not look hostile. "in all honesty, we were more scared of you hurting us! These two both attacked our nurses when they awoke." She said as she gestured to Charlie and Penny.

  Charlie chuckled, Penny looked embarrassed.

  "Alright, alright, I believe you on that, but where in the hell are we? Heaven?" Charlie said as she bit into one of her pastries.

  "I don't believe I know what Heaven is, but you three are in my castle. I rule over the kingdom of Belivia, and I'm sure you've met my sister, Cortana," Galexia said with a giggle as Cortana waved excitedly, "now, if you don't mind me asking, who are you?"

  Jane cleared her throat, "My name is Jane. These are my associates, Charlie and Penny. From what I've gathered, our arrival here was an accident," Jane said as she began to recall what happened before she woke up, "I had created a machine that would allow myself to travel to different dimensions. The machine activated out of nowhere, and we were sucked in. This must have been what it detected, your kingdom." Jane said with a nod.

  "A creation that allows you to travel through dimensions? That's.. Incredible! I've never heard of such a thing! You must be quite the legend where you come from." Galexia said happily.
