"Who are you? What is this? Where am I?"

"I am you, you are me. We are one in the same."

"I don't... feel right..."

"That's because you're discovering who you really are, who you're supposed to be."

"Who am I?"

"You aren't some Spring Court girl affiliated with The Night Court. You are more, you are better, you are bigger."

"This isn't right-"

"Listen to your instincts. To your heart. To me, your very soul and power. You are a Queen, an Empress, a Ruler. This world is yours, it obeys you and only you."

"How long will she stay unconscious?" Kaleb paced at the end of his mate's bed, the trepidation and anxiety in his chest causing him to be incapable of standing still.

As soon as she fell asleep, her father had scooped her up, protectively gripping her whilst Rhysand lead them to a room they could restrain her in.

"For as long as she needs. She's fighting a battle with herself right now, one she can only fight alone." Tamlin spoke, the bags under his eyes evidence that he hadn't slept well for possibly weeks.

Kaleb was unsure of the talk he and Kaia had whilst they went somewhere private, but the tension was high in the room and the younger Male felt suffocated by it. A small, minuscule, part of Kaleb felt bad for Tamlin. His daughter was currently unconscious due to something his son has done, whom he hasn't seen in years and is trying to destroy the world, and then suddenly the mother of his children who he thought was dead has been alive this whole time.

Kaia looked over from her spot by the window, arms crossed and eyes vacant. Something was so strange about looking at her, knowing that she spent so many years pretending to her family she was no longer alive. Knowing her son would eat himself away with guilt. "This is why I said we should of introduced her to this power at a young age. If she grew up learning to tame it, we wouldn't be here today."

"Well to be honest, Kaia, I didn't think you'd be here today, considering you're supposed to be dead." Tamlin retorted. Kaleb pursed his lips.

The female straightened, hands falling to her sides as a spiteful look took over her face, one so similar that Acacia wore the first time he met his mate. "You just can't accept the fact we made the wrong call, and now it's come to bite us in the ass. Alakai has grown strong, and Acacia will become even stronger if she allows this power to corrupt her."
