Jungkook turned off the lights in his hotel room and let himself fall onto the bed with a sigh. It was a little less than three years since he had first and also last seen the girl on the bridge.

Every night Jungkook would look at the photos he had taken before going to sleep and every year on january sixth he went back to the bridge hoping he'd see the girl again but she never appeared again. Jungkook flipped through the little photobook in which he had stored the printed versions of the photos. He always had it with him.

Taehyung was the only member who knew about the photos. One night when Jungkook wanted to go to sleep Taehyung barged into his room and caught him red handed. The older boy had demanded to see the pictures. So, with disdain Jungkook had slid him the book. Taehyung had flipped through the pages in awe of all the beauty that was captured inside the images. sneakily he had stolen one of them, that girl was just too beautiful to not want to keep.

when Taehyung asked where Jungkook had gotten the photos, the younger answered vaguely with one single word: "January". That wasn't enough for Taehyung so he kept whining for more answers. Jungkook had huffed and then said that he didn't know the girl but it was taken that year.

A few months later during a fan sign, a girl called him oppa. it made him cringe. he didn't want to be called oppa, not if the girl saying it was older and especially not if it wasn't the girl from the photos.

"Jungkook-ah!" Jimin exclaimed as he barged into the room. "Whatchu doing?"

Quickly Jungkook hid the photobook under his covers. "N-nothing."

Jimin looked at the laptop, which was still on top of Jungkook's lap. "Yah!" the blonde haired boy's eyes opened wide. "Were you watching porn?"

just at that moment Taehyung inconveniently came walking in. "No hyung. He's got something better than porn." The boy raised his eyebrows suggestively.

"He's got a girl here?" Jimin couldn't believe it. His dongsaeng wouldn't be dumb enough to bring a girl to their dorm, would he?

"A-ani... they're pictures." Jungkook clarified quickly. "Not those kinds of pictures!" the youngest boy explained even quicker when Jimin kept giving him his shocked look. "I-I made them myself."

"Landscapes?" Jimin asked, thinking taehyung had Just tried to get Jungkook in trouble while not even knowing what the pictures were made  of.

"Not quite." Taehyung teased and Jungkook turned a little red. "I mean, I've never considered girls as a part of a landscape." A smug smile laid upon Taehyung's lips as he averted his attention to his dongsaeng. "Have you Jungkook?"

"Wait!" Jimin didn't get a word of what was being said. We're or weren't those pictures innocent? "Who is the girl?"

"He doesn't know her name." Taehyung answered for the maknae. "But he's been hung up on her for three years now."

"Three years?" Jimin was confused, the fact that Jungkook had kept his crush a secret for such a long time was baffling to him. He himself was an open book to every member and although he knew Jungkook didn't tell him everything that went on in his head, he still expected the youngest to not keep such a big secret from him.

The maknae looked irritated by the conversation as he huffed three words. "Almost three years."

"Can I see?" Jimin put on his puppy eyes. He knew that even though Jungkook was younger than him, resisting his cute look was practically impossible.

"No." Jungkook bit as he looked away from his hyung to not see his pout.

"But Taehyung has seen them, hasn't he?" Jungkook looked back up at Jimin again. "Please, I want to know which girl has gotten you so bewitched that even after three years you still look at her photo."

"Almost three years."

"Fine." Jimin held his hands up in defeat. "What's the deal with that anyway?"

"I..." Jungkook thought of a good way to put the words that were floating around in his head into a sentence. "I promised myself that if I didn't see her again after three years or at least know her name, I would stop searching for her and just erase all her pictures. So as long as that time hasn't come, I can still hope to find her again."

"When's the three years over?" This was something new for Taehyung and suddenly he didn't feel guilty anymore for stealing one of the pictures. Having robbed the maknae from one of his photos meant that he could keep looking at it, even after the youngest three year anniversary of being in love with a girl he had never met.

"three days."

"But we're in America then." Taehyung's mouth fell open when his dongsaeng said that.

a pained smile contorted Jungkook's features. "I know. I-I guess I'll never find her again."

"Let me see the pictures, maybe I know who she is." Jimin couldn't handle seeing his dongsaeng so sad. He had to do something, anything. Jungkook slowly pulled the photo book out from under the covers and handed it to Jimin. About a hundred photo's of the side profile of a girl were captured inside the book. The shots had a sad hue over them, mainly because of the girl her tear stained cheek.

The girl had full lips, cute apple cheeks that were adorned by a few small freckles, long silky hair and the tip of her nose was slightly upturned. She was absolutely stunning and with every page Jimin turned he fell more in love with her looks. She didn't reach the typical ideal beauty standards of Korea but that just made her even more beautiful. She had a special face. Jimin had never seen a face like hers, if he had he would have never forgotten it. Her features alone would probably not look as enthralling but put together, they were breathtaking.

"A-and?" Jungkook asked with a small voice, a little spark of hope had arose in his heart.

"I..." Jimin looked up from the book. It broke his heart to see the little twinkle inside Jungkook's eyes. He wanted to tell him he knew the girl just to make sure that sparkle never left but he couldn't. He couldn't lie. Giving his brother false hope would be cruel, more cruel than telling him the hard truth. "No."

"Oh." All the hope that had gathered inside the youngest his chest was crushed. "I um... I'm tired. Can you guys leave?"

"Ah, n-nae." Taehyung pulled Jimin with him after Jungkook had pulled the book out of the oldest his hands. "We have to leave at 8am tomorrow, set an alarm okay?" Jimin said with a sad frown on his face.

The youngest didn't answer, too far gone into his thoughts to even notice anything around him. It shouldn't be so hard to forget a girl he had never actually met but... he wasn't ready yet, he still had three days and that was enough. It had to be enough.
