Pinhead:

"What's this?" you asked the thrift shop store clerk, as you held up a metal cube. It was engraved with gold and black designs.

"A puzzle box, I think. Like a fancy rubix cube," she said.

"How much?" you asked.

You were intrigued by the box. You had played with rubix cubes countless times. This cube couldn't have been much different.

"Five bucks," the clerk said.

You exchanged the money for the puzzle box and left the store, heading home. As night fell, you laid in bed, struggling to fall asleep. The box sat on your nightstand, glistening in the moonlight.

You sat up and turned on the lamp by your bed, picking up the box in the process. You turned the pieces of the box, pushing up different levels of it.

As you done so, your room began to shake and there was a bright light in the middle of the room, causing you to squeeze your eyes shut. You opened your eyes once the light disappeared. In front you stood a pale figure.

You examined his face in shock. It had sharp pins lined neatly on his skin, poking out.

"You called?" his voice beamed.

"Called?" you asked in confusion, scanning the leather clad man.

"You opened the box. You summoned me," he said.

"Summoned you? I didn't mean to," you explained.

"But you did. I can sense it in you. You're longing for something....someone," he said. You were silent, not sure on how to answer.

"Although you didn't mean to summon me, would you like for me to stay?" he asked.

You contemplated the possible outcomes, ignoring the ones that ended in death, and then nodded your head. For the rest of the night the two of you sat on your bed as he explained who exactly he was. You couldn't help but find yourself slightly attracted to the demon, despite the pins sticking out of his face.

Ash Williams:

Ash had known you for years. However, throughout the years you had purposely ignored his existence.

You couldn't stand him.

You couldn't stand his cockiness or how often he tried to flirt with you.

You couldn't stand the fact that he had gotten a job at S-Mart, the one place you were kind of enjoying working at.

"Hey, hot stuff," he cooed as you stepped behind the counter of the outdoors department, which was his favorite due to the large assortment of shotguns.

"Don't call me that, Ash," you stated as you restocked the ammunition display on the counter.

"Honey?" he asked.

"No, Ash," you said, annoyed.

You turned away from him but you knew that he was staring down your neck.

"Sweetie?" he asked.

Your face flushed red and you turned around.

"Do you really think it's in your best interest to mess with me while we are working around fire arms?" you asked.

"You wouldn't shoot me," he said, leaning on the counter.

"Oh, really? How would you know?" you asked.

He smiled and walked closer to you.

"Because you like me," he said, looking down at you.

"You wish," you said, turning away from him.

"If you don't like me then I guess you won't show up at my house tonight to watch a movie?" Ash asked.

"Nope. I won't be there," you said, smirking.

He might have not been able to see your smile but he knew deep down that you would in fact show up.
