17. 𝚃𝚎𝚗 𝚢𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜

Taehyung's breath hitched, " dad? "

His mother turned around her eyes wide. " uh Taehyung- "

" what is he doing here? " he interrupted her looking at the man he used to call his father. The man who left him for a whole decade. The man who said that he would take care of him.

And the man that said he would be there to see Taehyung grow up into the young man he was now. " Taehyung... you've grown so much... I- I came back to seek forgiveness " his father have him a hurtful look, he looked the same but the only thing that changed was that he was a bit more taller.

Taehyung softly laughed. " forgiveness? You left me. You left me and my mother alone. "

" I know it was my mistake but that was 10 years ago.... please Taehyung let me back in your life. " he begged with tears in his eyes.

Taehyung felt his blood boil. He even forgot that Jungkook was standing behind him. He looked behind him to see Jungkook with a shocked face.

" why would I let you back in my life? " he asked his voice cracking.

" please Tae. I know you- "

" you don't know me! You know nothing about me! You were never here. You were never here to see me grow up. "

" please Tae I'm your father- "

" you were my father. You know how many years I struggled with out you!! You know how many times I spent Father's Day without seeing my father. A whole decade Beom Seok! You know how many times I would have to sit there and listen to kids brag about how loving and caring there fathers were while you weren't even in my life at the point. You promised, you promised me in the dandelion field that you would see me graduate to high school that you would see me graduate to college! You never kept that promise " Taehyung yelled tears leaving his eyes.

" I- Taehyung! " his father was basically crying on his knees.

The next words that came out of Taehyung's mouth left everybody in the house shocked, even Jungkook.

" fuck you! fuck you get out! Get out of my house! Leave! " he yelled grabbing his father by his shirt basically dragging him out. " never come back! " he yelled shutting the door loudly.

He was beyond pissed, but he was also hurt.

He turned around to see Yoongi, Jungkook and his mother all standing there with shocked expressions on there faces. That's when he finally broke down sinking himself against the door crying into his hands.

" you know what aunt daeun let me and Jungkook handle this " Yoongi Walked over to Taehyung who was sobbing into his hands. His mother nodded heading into the kitchen to fix herself.

They reached Yoongi's room and that's when Taehyung broke down more crying into Yoongi's shoulder. Jungkook never seen Taehyung cry. Most importantly ever sob like this. He always saw a happy soul but seeing Taehyung like this made him shed a tear.

" it's okay taehyung let it out. Like you said, we are all humans and at hard times like these it's okay to cry. Cry all you want I'm here, rant all you want I'm here. " he spoke softly stroking Taehyung's hair. Taehyung nodded. He pulled away looking Jungkook who was sitting on Yoongi's desk.

He got up and hugged him, " I'm sorry you have to see me like this Jungkook it's just that- "

" shh, don't explain yet. Just cry it all out. "

He walked back and sat next to Yoongi taking his hand and interlocking fingers with him. " it's just that, Yoongi it's been ten years! A decade. And he finally decides to show up? I was beyond pissed but I was also sad seeing him like that. I just- I just couldn't forgive him. "

" I know and I honestly didn't know who was sobbing until I came downstairs and well I saw you yelling at your father." he gently stroked Taehyung's hand.

When Taehyung and Yoongi were little they would always hold hands. You know for fun. But when they saw each other crying that's when they held hands but like in a comforting way. They always held hands when one of them was crying, it was like a signal saying ' it's okay I'm here '

After talking more about the situation Jungkook left. He didn't want to leave but he didn't want to worry his parents a lot so he left.

" hey Yoongi is it okay if I take your car keys? " he asked.

Yoongi nodded giving him his car keys. " be safe Tae " he glanced at him giving him a ' don't do anything stupid ' look. " don't worry I'll be safe. "

I don't remember much from that day after talking to Yoongi well since . You'll see.
