Guys you may know me from my "The Vampire Academy" Fanfiction or maybe you don't, but I thought I wanted a change of story ahah. So I went for The Vampire Diaries and Bonnie is my favourite character, I love her with Damon but I also think her and Kol will be good, who knows where this story must lead, but I hope you enjoy!

THE COVER ON THIS STORY DOES NOT BELONG TO ME IT BELONGS TO A VERY TALENTED TUMBLR BLOGGER. Her link is http://bymeye.tumblr.com/

Bonnie was running late, her hair was still hot from her curling iron, the smell of her freshly sprayed perfume and the gloss stuck to her lips. Why did she always have to go to these stupid, idiotic school decade dances? She was never allowed to have fun, be a normal teenager, something always went wrong, as soon as she got back to being a normal teenager, reality would hit and something would go down and they would need a witch. Pulling into the school parking lot, everyone seemed to be inside except a few stoner dudes, standing next to a camper van. Bonnie stepped out the car, ignoring the low life's that were whistling.

"Obviously, they have had too much to smoke and drink, I look like a wet dog who's been dragged through a hedge backwards." Mumbling away to herself as always.

Arriving at the entrance to the dance she gave the campus security her dance ticket, they nodded and let her enter, Bonnie walked out into an open space in the dance floor, looking around she saw Elena, laughing with Stefan as she forced him to dance. Caroline and Tyler were over by the punch table. Jeremy was alone at the side, she sighed, thinking about going over when her thoughts were interrupted.

"Want to dance with baby Gilbert? Or are you simply taking pity on the boy who broke your heart?" Damon Salvatore, the one and only, standing right next to her, his warm breath on her neck.

"Screw you Damon, I wasn't going to ask anyone to dance, no doubt it would be interrupted anyway." Bonnie sighed and walked away to stand in the corner.

"Now come one Judgey, don't be like that. I promise I will not let anything happen." Damon offered his hand, a slight smirk playing on his lips as Bonnie's hand fit perfectly into his and he led her to the dance floor.

Bonnie laughed lightly and placed her hands around his neck as his hands were around her waist to pull her closer, she smiled as they started to move, just her luck it was a slow song and she was dancing with Damon Salvatore, someone who she hated and who hated her. She had to give him credit, he was a divine dancer, Bonnie scanned the room and seen everyone shocked to see them dancing together. When Bonnie Bennett played a game, she wasn't one to go easy, she moved closer to Damon and rested her head on his shoulder, taking in his scent, it was a burnt wood smell, it was intoxicating but Bonnie had an odd appeal to it. Bonnie looked to Elena who looked jealous as she watched Bonnie and Damon dance, Stefan was smiling, he wanted his brother happy, he just wished it wasn't a game. Tyler and Caroline were shocked and laughing, probably wondering if it was a joke... Then Bonnie's eyes rested on Jeremy, who looked as though the envy was going to make him explode.

"Your boyfriend looks like he is about to drive a stake through my heart." His warm breath on my neck, he chuckled a low chuckle.

"He is not my boyfriend and he won't get a chance to hurt you... I have your back." Bonnie never thought she would say that, but she whispered it in his ear as though it was there little secret. She knew that Caroline, Tyler and Stefan could hear her and all of their jaws dropped.

Bonnie was took by surprise as Damon spun her around and she landed back in his arms. Bonnie giggling away like a little school girl, smiled as a fast song came on and she grinned, Damon knew what was coming and he smirked, Damon picked her up and spun her around, moving fast, Bonnie was keeping in time and pace with Damon, everyone watched in amazement as they were dancing away for hours, once everyone started to leave, Damon and Bonnie were laughing walking out of the school, Jeremy was walking towards them, a stern look on his face, Bonnie knew what was happening and she stood in front of Damon as Jeremy plunged the stake right through her stomach, the surprised look on his face once the stake pierced her stomach, he dropped to the ground and started to cry.

"BONNIE!" That was the last thing Bonnie heard before she slipped into the darkness, she was certain she seen him cry but maybe that was her mind playing tricks on her before she died.

Damon looked at Jeremy outraged, he growled holding Bonnie's lifeless body in his arms, he so badly wanted to rip his head off but right now he wanted Bonnie alive, Damon was gone with her body and arrived in the hospital, he saw Meredith walking down the hall, he slammed her to the wall and growled, Meredith looked shocked and looked to Bonnie's body and nodded, they rushed her into a private room, Damon watched as Meredith inserted vampire blood into Bonnie's system.

"She will be okay, I promise." Meredith nodded slightly and walked away.

Damon sat next to Bonnie's bed side all night, he can't believe she actually jumped in front of him. She didn't have to jump in front of him, he could have handled himself, how did Bonnie see it coming but he didn't?  He sat wondering, worrying about Bonnie, the witch who hated him, but yet had put her life to save him. Damon kissed Bonnie's head softly and left her to rest, Meredith had promised that she would be okay. Bonnie woke up hours later trying to remember what had happened, she was fuzzy and her mind was reeling, what had she done? She tried to sit up but felt a sharp shooting pain travelling up her stomach, she winced. That's when she started to remember, she had jumped in front of Damon as Jeremy was about to stake him... Why had she jumped in front of Damon? Surely he could have took care of himself? Bonnie was looking down at her hands and noticed a bracelet hanging from her wrist, the letter "B" with diamonds around the edges. Who gave her this? Where did it come from? Bonnie sat puzzled, her head shot up when she heard the door close. Kol? Kol Mikaelson, Klaus' brother, standing before her with his cocky smirk upon his face.

"Kol? What are you doing here?" Bonnie frowned and looked at Kol who was now sitting next to her bed.

"Little witch, I came to see you, I heard baby Gilbert got all defensive and stabbed you. Well, well what did you do to make him so jealous?" Kol's eyebrows raised, he was truly curious.

"I didn't make him jealous, well not on purpose... Damon and I were dancing and were about to leave the school dance and Jeremy lost it and went to stake Damon and I jumped in front..." Bonnie mumbled, knowing she really didn't have to raise her voice any more, she knew he could hear her.

Kol sat next to Bonnie gently making sure he didn't shake the bed, he didn't want her in pain, he softly stroked her cheek with the back of his hand. "You jumped in front of Damon? Bonnie! Why would you do that?!" He was frustrated but he didn't mean to get angry, he just was confused. They hated each other why would she even think about it?
