Reedpaw
He rolled onto his back as the older Darkclan warrior towered over him. He heard Featherstep screech and knock the warrior away. "Corner the other one!" He heard the growl of Snakeheart, who was supposedly leading the passing patrol.
"Got it." He heard Sunshade reply. Sunshade knocked the other warrior to the ground with his teeth bared. Reedpaw scrambled to his paws. He saw the bewildered looks on his littermates faces. "Reed!" He heard Featherstep call. "Featherstep?" He whipped around. "No, just Feather." Feather broke off and leaped onto a nearby Darkclan warrior. Those two must've been part of a patrol.
He saw a elder Darkclan warrior slink out from the shadows. Her eyes widened. "Get back, you mouse-brained Warriors!" The Tussling warriors reluctantly backed away from the apprentices. "Shame on you! Shame on you all, you crossed the border and started a fight on their side. Goldenstar won't be pleased!" She spat and stomped away. "But Clear-" "Not a Word!" She interrupted the warriors complaint.
"Stupid furballs." She muttered.
Sunshade was panting heavily, Snakeheart had a nasty slash on his flank, though he looked to triumphant to care. "Feather, Sun, everyone okay? You four good over there?" Snakeheart began weaving among his clan mates like a medicine cat.
"We're fine, Snake." Sun gently licked his wounds. "Maybe you should check yourself first." Feather walked up to him and licked the wound on his flank. "Go see Whirl about that." She ordered them back to camp "Whirl must be Whirlwind." Whispered Leopardpaw. "Then I guess I'm Reed and you're Leopard." He whispered back.
Leopard just nodded.
As soon as they entered the camp a hushed silence hung over the clearing. All attention was fixed on Snake. Whirl padded into the clearing. He dropped the herb bundles he was carrying and rushed to Snake. "What happened?" He started investigating the scratch. "Border fight." Murmured Snake.
"This is more then a Border fight. I think it's a sign." He revealed the cloud-like blood oozing out Snakes flank, the colour was misty.
Whirl looked at the sky. "This is something important. Our ancestors want to tell us something." Whirl gazed at the blood again.
"Cloudy blood with a misty colour. What is this?" Leopard muttered.
"Cloud and mist." Reed pondered.
Cloudmist!
