Owlpaw

he watched Vixenpaw tell exaggerated stories to the kits about a dog that kept bothering her. "I gave it a couple of good scratches." She bragged as she flexed her claws. Her parents were found, her mother named Ivy and her father named Rye. Both of which became training as warriors.

Yes, as warriors. These two new cats became warriors instantly, though they still had mentors. Ivy became Ivywind and Rye became Ryestorm. They had found the name of the kits too. Fallow, Larch, and Scorch. All of which had become Fallowkit, Larchkit and Scorchkit.

Ivywind Groomed Fallowkit and purred. Dawnwhisker was organizing a hunting party. Snakeheart, Sunshade, Redclaw and Bluepaw ere going. Runningfur shared a Vole with her mate, Sunshade. Graywhisker was carrying a fat squirrel. He dragged it over to Aspenkit and Leafkit, Who were trying to jump up a branch that Rainstorm was holding upright.

"come on, Leafkit!" Aspenkit cried. Leafkit leaped on his stubby paws and reached the tiny branch sticking out. He dug his claws in and hauled himself onto it. "I did it!" He squeaked triumphantly. He leaped off clumsily. "My turn" Aspenkit had reached the top of the stick. He tapped it and scored his claws across it.

There was a deep gash in the stick. Rainstorm put it down. "Enough playtime, I need to get some rest." He padded back to his den. Aspenkit and Leafkit didn't seen at all disappointed, they hopped over to Vixenpaw to hear hear her story. "That smelly fur ball ran with its tail between its legs!" She finished. "Never saw it again, It learnt its lesson. Now, I have to go battle training with Featherstep." The kits let out disappointed groans. They moved on to the nearest tree.

They began scraping off a bundle of moss to toss around. He turned away. There wasn't much to do today, Every apprentice was out. He Spied Whirlwind laying some leaves. i'll give it a shot, then. he thought as he trotted to the medicine cat.

"Need help?" Whirlwind turned to him. "what? oh, yes. I have some herbs that need sorting. The kits are extra energetic these days." He commented with amusement. Owlpaw nodded and went into the medicine den. Whirlwind wasn't joking, there were heaps of leaves scattered.

He sighed, it'd be a long job. But it was his fault, he wanted to do something and now he could.

He started by examining the entrance. He was tiptoeing around the leaves in case he stepped on one. He matched the leaves that looked similar, and smelled similar. He immediately recognized the Tansy and horsetail. He'd collected them for Nettlepatch once. He sorted them then resorted to a pile of leaves in front of him.

It was actually a bit fun sorting leaves. And he'd been lucky because moments after he finished Whirlwind came in. His expression filled with surprise. "You've outdone yourself, Owlpaw! I didn't expect one to know this much, especially since you're training as a warrior." He shrugged.

Whirlwind examined the piles. "Not a single misplaced herb!" He gasped. "Maybe you should be a medicine cat." He joked after a heartbeat. Owlpaw nodded. "No thanks." He replied. Fallowkit rushed in. "I'll be a medicine cat!" Whirlwind laughed. "its a long time till that!" He gently shoved the kit out.

"Oh dear, out of daisy. Gotta get more." he mumbled. "Hey Owlpaw, Know the basics right?" He called to Owlpaw. Owlpaw knew how to keep wounds from infection or to apply cobwebs. He knew the smell of infection and what to give and how to get thorns out of a pad. "I have it covered!" He called.

Whirlwind left the camp. He watched him leave. He headed back in to organize some herbs. He searched for Cobwebs. Mouse-Dung! He thought. They were out.

Owlpaw went out. He paused as Whitefall staggered into the clearing. "Invasion! Darkclan!" He panted. His wounds bleeding. Blood poured out. Nettlepatch was out herb collecting, Whirlwind had just left. He rushed to Whitefall, who was also his kin. He didn't know how to handle this. This is real Mouse dung
