Lily's POV:
As soon as Hadrian left the living room, I started to cry silently, looking at the floor utterly devoid of anything at the moment. I numbly stare at the wall, face blank. I can faintly hear James and Sirius calling my name, but how could I respond? I neglected my oldest son all because I think he is dark? I know I can trust Dumbledore with my life, but it cost me, my son. Was I so quick to judge Hadrian from when he was such a young boy? As I think about this I start to think about Hadrian's twin Charles. He is such a perfect boy I am so proud of him. As I keep thinking about Charles I start to completely forget about Hadrian. I finally look up to see James and Sirius looking at me slightly concerned, but I give them a smile slightly forced but real for the most part they breathe out relieved.
"You okay Lily-flower?" James asked still slightly concerned.
"Yes, honey I'm good." I softly smile at James.
"Ok good Lily-flower. Hadrian is just going through a phase right now he will get over it." James said softly smiling back at me.
"I know honey," I said giving him a light peck on the lips.
I go to look for Daisy but can't find her. I shrug figured she's up in her room playing with her toys. Nodding in content at that thought I go into the kitchen and start making some dinner.Hadrian's POV:
As soon as I get into my room I immediately crashed onto the bed while laying on my back I bring my cigarette up for a smoke trying to release some stress but I hear a small knock. Knowing who it is I put out my smoke and yelled out for her to enter. I hear her soft feet padding along with the floors, she jumps onto my bed and lays right next to me her head resting in the crook of my neck and she sighs out in content.
"What's wrong Bella?" I ask softly.
Bella sighed softly "what is going on between you and our parents?" I looked down at her a bit her question too mature to ask for her age. I try to think of an answer to save her from viewing our parents the way I do.
I sigh softly my right hand running through her soft red hair.
"Do you want the truth or the half-ass lie?" I joke a bit at the end but tell the truth knowing I can't fully lie to her and she would catch onto it.
She sighs a bit but seems a bit conflicted I would too if I was asked this. "I want the truth Hadrian no matter how hard it will be for me to hear, but you tell the truth 100%," Bella said to be looking straight into my eyes. When looking straight into her eyes I look to see if she's sure, sure enough, she is.
"They believe I am dark because that is what Dumbledore had told them and I am also sorted into Slytherin so that made it seem like they have proof," I explained to her as simple as I can.
"Are you dark Hades?" She asks genuinely curious I hear no judgment in her voice so I tell her the truth.
"I am gray, but lean towards more dark." Simply saying it.
She looks at me for a moment still curious.
"Why?" She asked.
"Because there is a war that is looming over us, and I don't want to have to choose a side and be labeled as the good guy for being light and a bad guy for being dark, but no matter what we are still labeled no matter where we are at war. The gray are labeled cowards because we can't choose a side and it's not true. I say I am gray but lean towards dark that is because I am into dark arts I like learning it, it is my favorite subject. But that does not mean I am evil. I say I am gray because I believe that there should be no labels on how dark or how light magic is. Magic is simply magic." I explain to Bella.
She looks at me in awe I am confused about why she is looking at me like that.
"Bella something wrong?" Worried that I might have said something to upset her.
"No Hades everything is fine. I have to agree with you, magic is magic." Bella says. A moment passes before she declares "I am gray also. I will stick with you Hades." She leans over to my ear and whispered "you are my favorite, I don't like mum and dad much anymore nowadays because they are always fondly over Charles and Charles is a spoilt brat." Bella says I laugh at the last part she had said.
"Daisy. Are you 100% sure?" I want to give her a chance to give her time to think about it but knowing her she won't change her mind she is as stubborn as a mule.
She nods her head firmly sticking to her proclamation.
"Alright, I know a few people who are also gray. There is Theo, Fred, George, Neville, & Luna." I said that way if she comes into contact with any of them she can possibly ask them questions.
"Ok! Thank you so much Hadrian and not making me change my mind when I decided I am gray." Bella whispers softly.
"Bella you are as stubborn as a mule there is no changing your mind," I said ticking her sides. She laughs loudly and I decided to stop tickling her for now.
Bella snuggles up to my side and says "I love you Hades. Thank you."
I smile softly at her "you are welcome Bella, I love you too."
