They sailed back to their homeland, everyone celebrated in the human district, the elves brought their finest dishes, the dwarves brought their best ale and dishes, the humans provided their hospitality, the giants gave their celebration, they had a type of party prop that some called fireworks, but they were called Fr’nkles fireworks with some moving pictures to them.
Everyone in the entire city was celebrating, except for two dwarves, two elves, a General and a Sergeant Major, a mermaid, a half-giant, two archers, and a witch, with no son. They all sat around in a secret room in the party hall, a wooden mug sat in front of each of them, as they remembered a man who they worked beside and have made relationships with.
“I’ll be the first then.” Arlon said, he grabbed his mug and raised it high. “To Jeremy Campious, he was more than just a man, he was a wizard...he was the last of them all.”
“He was a trickster.” said Sola as she raised her mug.
“He was a man of many talents, he was.” Orlfam added.
“He was the last Dragon lord to walk the earth.” Darin said.
“He was an asshole at times.” Shanel added, then looked at her father and spoke for his hands. “But it aided him when needed.” they both raised their mugs.
“He was a descendant of the greatest wizard of all time.” Lavant said.
“He had a kind and helpful soul.” Aquarile added.
“He was an interesting man.” Arela added.
“He was a son I wanted and never had the time to get to know him, but in the time I spent with him, he showed to be the best child I ever had the privilege to mother.” Livia added as she raised her mugg and wiped away her tears.
“He was a good man...and a great person to have a relationship with. He was like no other beings out there in the world.” said Safie. She raised her mug along with everyone else.
“To Jeremy.” Arlon said. Everyone repeated. “To Jeremy.” Darin and Orlfam said in unison.
“Vooramdi (High honor)” they then drank. Arela and Safie said in unison.
“Håmpâré. (See you in the afterlife.)” Sola then drank her ale and pounded the table twice, showing respect for the deceased person they all drank for. Aquarile cringed a bit after drinking her beverage, but she knew she’d get used to it.
“So...what now?” Darin asked, and for the first time ever, no one had an answer.
The end
