Y/N's POV

I was currently doing my homework and I can't seem to finish even one task. It was almost midnight. I was on my laptop the whole day revising some reports.

Why do we have to go through this? Like we don't even use half of these knowledge in the outside world. Admit it or not its a matter of working smarter and not harder.

I was slowly getting more and more frustrated until I felt my phone vibrate.

Renjun's name appeared and was video calling me.

I quickly slid and answered his call, although i covered my camera too. I dont even look decent at the moment. Ive been stressed the whole day.

As i look at my phones screen I hear Renjun shouting at someone.

"Yah! Haechan for once be quiet I'll talk to y/n!"

I laughed as I remembered the day renjun went on a full on rant when he found out haechan was his roomate.

"Fine! Say hi to her for me. I'll go bother mark hyung in his room first. I'll be back."  Haechan said as i heard him close the door.

"Is he gone?" I asked.

"Yeah, finally some peace." He replied adjusting his phone while laying in bed.

His face scrunched as he noticed I was covering my phone.

"Don't cover your face, I want to see you."

"No. I looked stressed. I still have so many homeworks to do." I replied looking over at my things.

"You should rest you know? Its Saturday tomorrow. Rest yourself for a while." He softly said reminding me.

I just sighed knowing he was right. I was being too uptight on myself.

"Alright" I mumbled as I went to my bed.

"Renjun its already midnight why arent you sleeping yet?" I asked closing my windows.

"I was about to, but I wanted to call you first,to ask how you were. But seeing this now i cant sleep knowing youre not okay." He replied just looking at his phone.

"Im okay now, you should rest too. You still have many rehearsals in the morning."

I layed on my bed feeling the softness of the sheets while I melt on them.

"I am quite tired." He said yawning and getting a pillow to hug.

"I love you." I purposely said.

He just chuckled and asked why i did the sudden confession.

Its not like we dont say it to eachother, it was just so sudden and random in that moment.

"Well you said you were tired. I gave you energy." I laughed and cringed at my own self.

He just laughed at me as well and said thank you.

"Okay we both should rest now. I'll text you in the morning." I said.

I was waiting for him to reply but he didnt say anything. He was just staring at his phone making me wonder if the connection was bad.

"Renjun? Can you hear me?"

"I can." He mumbled lightly.

"y/n?" he quickly added.

I hummed in response feeling my eyelids getting droopy in every second.

"I love you." He said.

As cheesy as it sounds Its like some electric shocks went through my body slightly waking me up.

I was the one who's silent now.

"You must have fallen asleep. I'll let you rest now. Goodnight y/n, sleep well." He whispered ending the call.

I went to my messages and texted him immediately.

"I didnt fall asleep I was also just shocked. Text you later. Goodnight junnie, sweet dreams."

I placed my phone back on the shelf after i hit sent.

Talking to renjun was the start of having a good rest.

He was all that I needed.
