Dear beloved,
I had visited you yesterday. Still nothing. Somehow, it's as if you just can't seem to wake up from your coma that you've been in for a month. Today, I'm planning on visiting you again. I'm hoping that you're getting better than yesterday. I also would like to apologize that I haven't visited you in the past few weeks. I needed some time alone... It really sucks right now... The timing of everything. I just wanted to say that I love you. Know that y/ex/n won't bother you anymore. I made sure of that. I just feel so horrible. I wish that I wasn't worrying about any of this pain. I really need lots of time with other people. I can't trust myself alone at this point. That's how bad I feel. I don't feel good at all.

I closed the journal and set it somewhere safe. Jack walked in with Gabbie and Lavender.
"Great, you're here. Here's the list while i visit y/n. Daisy's nap time is at 1:30pm and Dylan's is at 4:30pm. There's diapers in the nursery and if they ever need a change of clothes, their stuff is in their rooms. Oh, and make sure to-" I didn't know I was rambling until Jack cut me off.
"Daniel. Your kids will be fine. I promise. They're in good hands." He gives me a reassuring smile. I nod and softly smile back at him.
"Thank you so much." I said. I grabbed my coat and keys and I was on my way.
•20 minutes later•
I parked my car and checked in. I walked back to y/n's room. I knocked on the door to check if a nurse was in there.
"It's open." I stopped. I didn't walk in. I couldn't believe it. Was it really...
"y/n..?" I questioned with my heart pounding at what felt like 200 beats a minute.
"yes... are you my new nurse?" she questioned. I revealed myself and walked in.
"y/n..!" I smiled as i practically ran to her and hugged her gently.
"Daniel?! How are you!" She asked after we released from the hug.
"Well... I'm great! Yep. I'm- I'm doing amazing. Daisy and Dylan are growing up, everything's great. Everyone's happy." I forced a smile and lied right through my teeth. I felt bad about lying, but I wanna know she's okay and happy that I'm okay and happy. She smiled slightly.
"That's good to hear. I miss my little family." She sighed.
"Yeah. Jack and Gabbie are taking care of them right now. Usually Corbyn or Jonah would do it but Jack and Gabbie have more child care experience. Hence Lavender." I said. She nodded.
"That's fine. As long as they're in good hands." She didn't change her expression.
"Any pain? Anything wrong? You seem to be fine." I asked her.
•y/n's pov•
I didn't know how to say anything. I couldn't tell him about... the thing that happened to me. I didn't wanna tell Daniel about the treatment I was getting.
"Everything is fine. Just a little pain, it's fine really, but other than that, I'm fine." I said. He gently smiled and held my hand.
"I want you to be okay. I don't like it when you're hurt." he kissed my hand and then sets it down. He looked like he needed more sleep. Maybe he's been drinking or going out to parties. Again.
"I have to sleep now so if you wanna stay you can, but I probably won't wake up until-" He stopped me.
"I'll stay for a bit. I haven't physically talked to my girlfriend in a while. Why would I go?" He scooted next to me and laid his head on my chest as if he was listening close to my heartbeat.
"I love you, y/l/n." he looked up at me and planted a soft kiss on my lips.
"I love you too, Seavey." I smiled and blushed. We both fell asleep and felt like everything was perfect... only... it wasn't.
