although the death of the lovely girl, gabriela, appeared as a suicide, those close to gabriela knew gabriela is not the one to give up. the little letter in the fingers of the lifeless body only added suspicion. evidently the first few people to be inquired were, tatum dahl, a lovely girl with a small smile who was like an elder sister to gabriela. her boyfriend, jonah marais, a brilliant baseball player and a member of the choir. garbriela's best friends, daniel seavey, the happy boy who loves people and jack avery, gabriela's noodle poodle.
the process wasn't easy. jack wouldn't sleep at night, the images of the dead and pale body of the girl kept flashing in front of eyes. corbyn wouldn't stop analyzing the scenario, trying to match all the evidences, trace the murderer. tatum couldn't be at the bookstore anymore. although she loved working there, immersing herself between the books, every corner reminded her of the curly haired beauty. daniel, although calm and collected, grew distant from his friends.
jordan besson, corbyn's younger brother, an intellectual genius was assigned the case of the death of gabriela gonzalez. although corbyn was not involved with the official process, he would often help jordan with the murder case. the two brothers would sit together till three in the night collecting facts and trying to connect the dots.
a little over a week later, the two brothers found a very interesting piece, which when placed would only complicate the puzzle. ryan herron, the brother of zachary hearron was good friends with ava stanford, jack's sister, who in turn was good friends with gabriela. gabriela and ryan had bonded over the past few weeks before ryan's death. the most crucial piece of evidence was a paper found in ryan's jacket this morning. "i am warning you." the piece of text was written in the same hand writing as that of the note in gabriela's hand.
this crucial piece of paper immediately connected the two deaths in the neighborhood. there were two more people related to the murder mystery now. zach herron, the boy who liked to sit in a corner and listen to music and christina harris, the pretty best friend.
the news of the two deaths being connected and possibly both being murders spread like a wild fire in the town. the two boys, zachary and jack, who lived next to each other for eleven years and yet never exchanged smiles were now in the same boat. they both suffered from the pain of loosing a loved one and the guilt of loosing the loved one because of themselves.
the next evening, the unexpected happened. the body of the handsome jordan besson was found in the same spot as gabriela's, under the stars.
as the night set in, it promised a hope for a better day. a hope that the sun will shine again and that it will shine brighter.
