Peach was throwing another party for the Mario Brothers, as she always does. But this time, she had also invited Daisy and Rosalina. Toad was put in charge of everything, and wasn't even allowed to eat with the group. Toad didn't think this was that fair, as he was one of Peach's highest in command to her, and was preparing everything, from food to entertainment, but she was the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, so arguing wouldn't do any good for him.
Toad then got to work on the invitations. "How the Hell am I supposed to send an invitation to space?" Said Toad, a little too loudly. Luckily, nobody heard him. He continued making invitations for all four members. "I don't see why I can't just go to the Mario Brothers to tell them", Thought Toad. After about an hour of making everything look pretty, Toad set out on his journey. He went to the Mario Brothers first, as they were located close. He dropped the letter in their mailbox and set out to Sarasaland, which was a one day trip on even the Mushroom Kingdom's fastest train. Toad had paid for a ticket, and luckily, got a seat on the busy train. "For Mario's Sake! A one day trip for an invite! Why couldn't I just use the Mushroom Kingdom e-mail service!" Thought Toad, nearly yelling every word of it. Toad had fallen asleep on the train, and had nearly missed his stop, but he woke up just in time.
"Soooo. I wonder how I get in?" Said Toad. "If Peach didn't tell Daisy she'd be expecting an invite then- "Toad!" Yelled Daisy, interrupting his inner monologue. "Oh, Daisy. Hi" Said Toad. "Peach told me I'd be expecting you." Said Daisy. "Yeah... Uhmm. Oh, she wanted me to give this to you." Said Toad. "Hmm, what's this?" Asked Daisy. "Open it and you'll find out." Said Toad. "Anyways, I've got to be heading out. I've gotta get to the Comet Observatory before I miss the opportunity to give Rosalina her letter." Said Toad, a little annoyed with Daisy's voice. "Oh, if you need, you can use my launch star that Rosalina left here. It'll take you right to wherever the Observatory is located at this very moment!" Said Daisy. "Oh, uhmm, thanks." Said Toad. "Well let's go then".
Daisy brought him into her castle, and to where the launch star is located. She helped Toad into the launch star, and sent him off. "BYEEEE- WoAH!" Said Toad, as he was sent flying. Toad was flying for a good 30 minutes before landing at the Observatory. In the paths the stars made, it was easy to breathe, which made Toad's trip all the more easier. Toad landed with a resounding ThUmP in the Observatory, and saw Rosalina in the distance. "All this way for an invite." Muttered Toad. "Oh, hello Toad, what a pleasant surprise." Said Rosalina. "Hi." Said Toad. "Oh, I've got a letter for you. It's from Peach." Said Toad. "Why thank you." Said Rosalina. "Say uhmm, you think you could send me back to the Mushroom Kingdom?" Said Toad, with little hope. "Sure, lemme just get a Luma." Said Rosalina. After 5 minutes, Rosalina had a Luma change into a launch star, and Toad was sent back to the Mushroom Kingdom. "If Peach's to Daisy's took a day, then this should take- Oh man." Yelled Toad." Surprisingly, since star travel is quicker than train travel, it only took about 2 hours. "Well, there goes a day!" Could've taken star transport..." Mumbled Toad.
"Well, I've got a lot of preparing to do!" Said Toad, slightly annoyed. Toad thought working on cleaning up would be the best thing to start off with. He called one of Peach's maids to do one half of the Kingdom, while he did the other. This took him about three hours! "Imagine if I had to do both halves!" Said Toad, relieved. The party was supposed to be held on the coming Saturday, which also turned out to be the "Annual Mushroom Kingdom Fireworks Festival Day. [AMKFFD]. It was a Thursday and Toad was excited to take his girlfriend, Toadette out on this very day, but when he had heard that he'd be doing all of Peach's planning, he was annoyed. "Well, I guess we can watch it with the princess..." Thought Toad. "NO!" Yelled Peach. "W-w-why not?" Responded Toad. "She isn't even that high in rankings! She's just another Toad." Said the now annoyed Peach. "Don't talk about my girlfriend like-" "I SAID NO! Now go finish preparing!" Yelled Peach, cutting off Toad.
"Some leader..." Mumbled Toad, as he got back to work. Toad spent the next two hours or so hanging streamers, tying ribbons to the walls, setting up lights, and just doing unnecessary junk that Peach needed him to do for her. Toad had then finished setting up everything that was going to be seen on the evening. He then went up the long set of stairs to where his room was located. Something that was good for working under the princess was the many, many bedrooms. Some people even had rooms that were like apartments! Toad was one of those lucky few. He had a nice looking living room, a small kitchen, a bathroom, a balcony, and a bedroom. It was a little small compared to actual apartments, but it got the job done. Up here, Toad really learnt a lot, such as cooking, cleaning, and a good sleep. From his balcony, he also learnt how to tell constellations apart, the layout of the Mushroom Kingdom, and some of the best spots for a date with Toadette. Toad came to his room, went to his bed, and just laid there. He thought about everything that he had to do. All of it was hard work, but was to be expected from working under the princess.
Toad had fallen asleep for 3 hours, and dint even notice it. He checked his clock, and it was already 5:20 PM! He noticed how much work he could've missed, and had started to panic! But then, he remembered, that he was inflating the balloons and baking the cake tomorrow. Toad then put on some shorts, a red T-Shirt and his runners, as Toads weren't required to only wear vests anymore. Toad headed out of his room, down the giant staircase, and out of the castle. He figured he could do some grocery shopping to kill some time. Toad went to his favourite grocery store: "Monty Mole's Friendly Grocer." He entered, and started thinking of what he can create. "Hmm... I'll just make spaghetti." Said Toad in his mind. Toad went to get the spaghetti strands, the sauce, the meatballs, the cheese, and all of his extra herbs and spices. He also thought that it would be smart to get all of his ingredients for a beautiful cake for Saturday... And... Maybe one for himself...
Toad got to work at creating the best spaghetti. He boiled the spaghetti strands, made the sauce his own, added all the herbs, prepared the meatballs, and then waited. Waited for the spaghetti to boil. It was only a short wait, so Toad was going to be eating in no time. He thought, since he had a little bit of spare time, that maybe he could invite a friend over for dinner. He decided to invite Diddy Kong. He waited for Diddy to arrive, so that the could eat together, instead of one at a time. After 10 minutes, Diddy arrived, so Toad had to come down to let him into the Castle. Since the castle had high security, unless informed by the princess or by someone else, you need to be let in. Toad had set the table all ready, and luckily, the food was still hot. Diddy and Toad ate and chatted. The spoke about a lot. They spoke about how their relationships were going, how their other friends were going, the scores on the game last night, basically everything. "Yo Toad." Said Diddy. "Why'd you invite me instead of Toadette?" "Well..." Started Toad." I've got something bigger planned for her. We were originally gonna watch the fireworks at the festival in the castle, at a small dinner party with a few people, but Peach didn't want her there, as she's apparently 'just another toad.'" Said Toad. "Damn..." Diddy responded. After dinner, Toad said goodbye to Diddy, and sent him off. By now it was about 9:30, and Toad was a little tired. Since the day ahead would be filled with problems, disaster and work, he decided to watch a documentary to settle down, before hitting the hay. He chose, "The Ocean And Its Many Wonders". Toad watched for about 2 hours, and then went to bed. Tomorrow was gonna be a big day...
