"Marry me" the breathless whisper was almost inaudible as shock took over my face, not fully comprehending what just happened. Ethan was on one knee in front of me, holding the most beautiful rock I had ever seen in my entire life. "What?" I asked in pure shock, my eyes watering up as I looked into his eyes, at the ring, at the crowded restaurant and back to his eyes.
"Will you, Grayson Bailey, do the honor of being my one and only and marrying me? I know it's fast, but I love you more than anything else in the world, you're an amazing father, an amazing boyfriend, and you'd be even more amazing as my husband" Ethan speaks up clearly, people around us awing and some even had tissues to their eyes.
"Yes" I answered, a smile taking over both of our faces, he slid the ring on my left hand so perfectly, just the right size. "I love you too" I whisper, he pulls me into a tight hug, my arms wrapped around him as I cried into the crook of his neck. People cheered and clapped for us, soon getting back to their fancy dinner, by the time we pulled away from each other it was almost five minutes past his proposal.
"And for our grooms" the waiter brings by a chocolate cake in which my eyes practically drooled over. Ethan and I took a seat, as I picked up my fork I couldn't help but stare at the beautiful ring. "Ethan, this ring must of cost a fortune" I tell him and he waves it off, "it was only a couple grand" he tells me, my eyes widened as I practically dropped my fork.
"I'm kidding, well no I'm not, but don't worry about it" he smiles, the entire night was filled with smiles and kisses. Xavier helped himself in getting some cake, grabbing at the icing in which I quickly pulled him out to the high chair, into my lap to clean off his hands.
"Messy boy" I tease, making Xavier giggle as Ethan watched us, this was real life. It was me, Ethan, and Xavier against the world at this point. It was from here on out, and to be honest I didn't know if I was ready but we'd figure it out, we always do.
The night continued glamorously, we went out around the town, watching the sun fully set into the darkness which mesmerized Xavier every time. It was honestly heaven, being next to the man and child I'd spend the rest of my life with. I couldn't imagine this a year ago, before I even met Ethan, before me and Bianca got into it, before I lost my job at the bookstore.
I would of laughed in your face if you told me this was my future, because I didn't know my worth but now, now I know that this is what i deserve, and I am worth more than what anyone thinks. Besides Ethan of course, to him I'm everything, above everyone else.
I'm grateful for everything in this past year, I honestly wouldn't have asked for anything more. Being in love is the best gift I could ask for, and what's crazy is that I never asked for it, I tried to avoid it for so long.
It's clear now that I'm in love with who I once thought was the devil. The one and only Ethan Dolan.

Yes this is the end. Yes I'm making a wedding chapter as my epilogue, no I'm not uploading it today or probably within the next week.
Yes I plan on starting a new book but chances are it won't be grethan, it will be a Ethan book (probably) taking place in high school 😁 bc I'm basic and I need a high school romance book in my life rn.
