KIONIS POV

Yami continues his way outside as the rest of us stay in the main living area. I'm intrigued as to where he's going. I wonder what he's doing?

Pushing myself of the couch, I stand up, wobbling as I walk to the door. Leaning against the door frame, I peek out to see which direction he went.

Walking forward towards the trees, I see his silhouette pass through the shadows of the branches. Lucky for me, the branches and overhang cover just enough of the sun so it isn't too bright. Still following behind Yami but keeping enough distance between us so he doesn't notice, he begins to slow down.

Looking to my side I see a fairly decent sized tree to hide behind and prop myself up. Listening to my surroundings, I hear moving water.

I grasp onto a low branch near the side of the tree and lean over. Cautious to keep my balance, I hold onto the branch with both hands.

I look over and see where the sound is coming from. A small creek runs through the woods, flowing into a pond like area surrounded by trees and bushes. Has that always been there? I don't remember seeing it when we first came through this area.

I slowly step out from behind the tree and move closer to the edge. The water flows smoothly through the creek, branches and rocks scattered throughout it.

But there's no sign of Yami. Where did he go?

"Looking for me?" A deep voice asks causing me to jump, almost falling into the water.

He grabs me by the waist to help me regain my balance. He throws his head back in laughter as I continue to wobble, eventually steadying myself. I feel my cheeks get hot so I press my hands to them to cover my blush.

"Why'd - you - follow - me - out - here?" He struggles to get out as his laughter slowly ceases.

I back away from him and sit on a larger boulder close to the edge of the water.

"I was just curious." I look up to him, "You were very quiet back at the hideout, and then you slipped out the door while everyone was seeming to have a good time."

"Oh." He says looking away, "I just didn't want any of the others bombarding me with questions and stuff as to what happened last night. They're very nosy people."

Turning back to face me, "I just come out here to think. I'm fairly certain none of them know about it. I've never seen any of them come out here, so it's basically my little quiet place." He shrugs.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I feel like I've intruded. I was just wondering if you were okay. That's all." I say, turning to face the water, watching it steadily move along.

"I'm fine actually. And you're fine too. I figured you would follow me," a flirtatious smirk appears on his face, "Especially after our little scenario this morning."

He winks at me and makes his way to a log and sits down directly across from me.

"So.. um. How'd you find this place?" I ask, avoiding eye contact, "Like what made you decide to come out here in the first place?"

"I had just been given the opportunity to be the captain of the Black Bulls. And the few people I had in this squad were already getting on my nerves," He chuckles. " I didn't really know what I was doing and I got overwhelmed so I just went outside and started walking through the woods."

"I ended up out here and no one had followed. Found this little hideaway, and decided to make it my spot." Feeling his gaze go over me, I look back to him.

"Oh- that's nice. It's cool to have your own area to take a step out of the world every once in a while." I say, smiling. "I'm sorry again, for following you out here."

He looks at me with a weird expression on his face.

"Stop apologizing." He gets up and walks back across to me, "I said it was fine."

He drops his head lower and closer to mine, bringing his cheek close to my ear.

"I guess now that means it can be our spot," He pulls back a little and winks.

What is happening? Why's he so close? He said something about our scenario earlier... OH MY GOD, is he gonna-

"Since you know about it now, there's no point in forcing you to leave." I look up to him, his eyes are the same as they were this morning. I look across his face, attempting to read him, trying figure out whats going on in that hot head of his.

His eyes flick back and forth from my eyes, then down to my lips. Gaining some sort of confidence out of no where, I blurt out at barely a whisper.

"If you're gonna kiss me, then do it already."

Without any hesitation he leaned in and pressed his lips against mine. He moves a hand to my cheek, then slips an arm behind my back, standing me up and deepening the kiss.

I raise a hand and place my palm on his cheek. With my other hand, I run my fingers through his wild hair.

He swipes his tongue across my bottom lip, asking for entrance, but I deny it. He repeats the action, eventually giving up but continuing to kiss me.

After a few more moments I begin to get dizzy. I pull back, my breathing quickened.

"Ha.. wow." I get out, attempting to catch my breath.

"Yeah... wow" He says, leaning back but still holding onto me.

I lean into his chest and listen to his heart beat as I slow my breathing. He tightens his arms around me and puts his chin on the top of my head.

"That was- wow. I can't think of anything else to say except wow." I laugh into his chest as he chuckles at my loss of words.

"It's all good." He says, still laughing. "Do you want to go sit by the water? It's not too cold, it feels great." He suggests.

"Sure, that sounds nice." I pull back and hold onto his arm, letting him guide us to a dry spot by the edge of the creek."

Sitting down, we put our feet in the water. He looks off at something in the distance, I take that moment to lean over and rest my head against his shoulder.

Slowly moving my hand, I intertwine our fingers, holding onto his large hand with my small ones. I swish my feet back and forth, stirring up the water.

Closing my eyes, I let my mind wander. I don't think this could get anymore perfect than it already is.

Hello!! I am back. I've been working on this chapter for a hot minute and it's finally here. It's a little bit shorter than my others but I finally got it done. I'm very sorry for the delays in updates. I'm having a lot of schooling issues. I've also been just in a bad state of mind, I haven't had the motivation to do much of anything lately. But here y'all go. Have y'all seen the new season of My Hero Academia? I haven't watched it yet but I want to so bad. Only the subbed version of episode one is on Hulu so far, so I have to wait for more to come out. I'm also veryyyy behind on Black Clover and I am so bummed. I used to use my brothers friends Funimation account to watch Black Clover but he changed the password and now I can't watch any of it. But when I get a job and have a steady income, I'm gonna be creating my own Funimation account so I can stay caught up on everything. But I hope y'all enjoy the new chapter :)))))
