Chapter 20- The News

*Ariel POV*

We entered the hospital room and saw a pale, unconscious Ansel on the bed.

"Ansel..."I whisper.

*BEGINNING OF CHAPTER 20*

My heart dropped and my eyes filled with tears. I looked at the nurse standing next to me and asked her,

"I-Is h-his life-e in... danger?"

"Yes..."she replies sadly. "A glass from the car came near his heart and the scar deepened. In a while, he'll have a very dangerous and long operation. But please relax"

"Okay" I sigh heavily. "And thanks"

"Welcome Ma'am" and she leaves.

I sit on the couch near the bed looking at Ansel trying to hold my sobs in. Harry sat next to me pulling me into a hug with tears rolling down his cheek.

"Ariel, you're not Ansel's step-mom"he says with a smile.

"You're his mom."

I smile and cry on his chest.

I wake up tired. Ansel isn't in the room. Oh my god where is he. And suddenly I remember that he's in the other room.

"Ma'am" the nurse says.

"Yes?"

"Your son is in the next room. Second floor room 12 and his operation is done. But no one can enter, you may see him by the big window."

"Okay" I reply politely.

I looked at Harry and tried to wake up him slowly.

"Hey" he says opening his eyes.

"Ansel's operation is done. You can return back home and check on Kate."

"Okay"

"Bye and love you"

"Bye, love you more" he says.

And with that he headed to the main gate, returning back home.

As I was walking to the second floor, my phone rang. At first, I thought Harry forgot something but then I saw that it was Sasha.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hey Ariel! It's Sasha... can we talk?"

"Hey Sasha"I answer. "Yeah sure"

"Um...." she begins. "It's about Ansel" my smile turned into a frown.

"Look" she says. "I... I still love Ansel so much, and I think I want to forguve him. I mean, our problem can be solved for sure but today I saw that he commented:   that made me sad. Kaila is his ex and I don-"

"Umm.. sweetie, now isn't the right time ro talk about Ansel because he isn't feeling very well"

"And I'm not feeling very well, too" she says.

"I dont mean about your problem with him."

"About what?" She asks with a shivering voice.

"Ansel had an accident and may not make it"
