"Ally!" I look over towards where my name was being called, seeing the tall tanned boy waving like crazy.

I had just walked up the stairs into my school for the final first time. This was my last school year, then that's it, finally I would be done with it.

Smiling with relief that he was already here, made me feel a lot better and more relaxed. "Hey Calum" I say to my bestfriend when I reach him. He was sitting on the lockers talking with his friends Spencer and Ryan, so I said a quick hello to them smiling politely.

I was quite relieved when the bell went, meaning I didn't have to stand around with everyone pretending to be interest in their conversations they were trying to have with me.

I wasn't so much shy, I was just uncomfortable around some people or most of the people at my school. But at the same time I was 'friends' with most of them.

I went into my home group sitting at the same table I sat last year, up the back, with my friend Amy. Now all I had to do was wait for her to get here. I didn't have to wait to long when she literally came running into the room looking more excited then ever. "Have you seen the new kid!" she yelled at me in a whisper. "oh hey to you to." She rolled her eyes at me and repeated her self. "have. you. seen. the. new. kid. ?" "What new kid?" I asked her. I hadn't seen anyone new here.

"Are you's talking about then new guy?" and my day was ruined. Rachel's voice simply annoyed me. She was one of those people who are backstabbing sooks who use to be your bestfriend. I simply didn't look at her, just exchanging the same look to Amy and she did the exact same. "Yeah" she said. "have you seen him?" "I saw him yesterday actually, I was going to introduce myself cause he was starring at me." of course, I thought to myself. she was always able to make a story revolving around her self.

I never noticed the room had gotten full, until it went dead silent. Everyone was just looking towards the door, so I turned to look to. 'woah' was all I could think. I watched as the boy made his way into the room, he looked so fake it I couldn't understand it. His blonde hair was up in the most perfect quiff, his eyes were the most interestingly bright shade of blue and gold, his skin was so clear, a hard looking white, even his school uniform even looked good on him. I didn't even know I was starring until his gaze met mine and I quickly looked away.

"All he needs is a good tan and he would be perfect," Amy whispered to me. Of course only she would think that, she had a real phobia that everyone had to be tanned.

I laughed and turned my attention back to him, noticing how gracefully he moved and watched as he say on the other side of the room in the corner a row in front. I met his gaze once more trying to understand the look on his face, he looked so confused. I turned away as our home group leader, Mrs Mckenzie walked in.

Everyone was chatting again now and the teacher had to call silence for everyone to give her their attention. She began reading the school announcements but I wasn't even paying attention more just trying to figure out what his face was about.

It was when everyone started talking again when I snapped back into the world.

"So" Amy turned to me. "what do you think of Luke?" "of who?" I asked, quite confused to what she was talking about.

"pay attention!" she slapped my arm playfully. "Mrs Mckenzie just introduced the new kid to the class. His name is Luke Hemmings, he just moved her from Tasmania with his parents and his twin sister." "oh" I thought about her question before answering. "I dunno, he looks confused or something." "wouldn't you be to if everyone was starring at you on your first day at a new school?" that's what it probably is, just nerves. "yeah I guess so." I replied as the bell went.
