Chapter 2: A normal night shift for rookie was about to change

As rookie was finished giving the food to a married couple at table 27, rookie heard the cafe's door bell go which means another customer for rookie to handle on her own but when she got to the table where the new customer that came in was sitting at, it wasn't a normal customer that she probably would have recognise from all the night shift she did in the past but the customer looked familiar to her, like she met this person in the past in her childhood.

Anyway as rookie got to the table where the new customer was sitting at before she even asked what they wanted to order, the customer said something familiar that rookie remembered in a instant, it was " Don't let the bad times control you, let it fly through you and let your life live on without no worry", the customer said that quote in a calm tone that rookie remembered she said that same quote to her old team before they left the system and she realised who was in front of her, it was a boy called garland j hunter who was also known for being the annoying boy who'd play alot of pranks and annoyed alot of people I knew from the system.

Rookie said,"hello garland" what would u like to eat? And he said its been awhile rookie I would like a cup of tea and a nice homemade BLT with a delicious brownie to top off the meal, so as rookie finished writing done the order that garland wanted, she went to hook up the order on the chef's order rack and went back to have a quick catch up chat with garland when she was waiting for garland 's order.

So garland, how did you find me? Well my dear rookie, it was hard at first but eventually I figured out that you do alot of odd jobs around London so I paced everything together and found out tonight that you where doing a night shift here at the cafe and on the plus side it was getting late and I was starting to get hungry. Alright but really why are you here garland, well rookie it may have been alright for you to try and have a normal life after getting out of the system but it hasn't really been easy for me and a few other recruits ever since we left the system.

Well I mean we all got a stable job and nice place to live at, but it isn't really that easy to try to act normal in front of the other civilians here in London. you guys will be okay. I mean even though we got trained by are commanders to act normal when we are out here in civilisation, we should be fine when we're out here on are own. Yeah your probably right,"order up"... rookie the order is ready and waiting to be served to its customer. "Alright"..I'm coming chef, I'll be back with your order in one minute as rookie went to get garland's order and served it to him in ender 3 mins, it was getting abit busy at the cafe and so rookie carried on with her shift into the dark mysterious gloomy night.

It was 1.30am and rookie was getting ready to head home for the day. As the cafe closed for the night, rookie went to her motorbike and was about ready to drive off and head home for a good night's rested, when u know who drove up next to her. Garland said, "so rookie heading home", yeah why you ask? Oh just wondering if I could stay at your place for tonight, yeah shore but no funny busy alright just ride behind me so you know where your going when we're heading to my place okay, "alright" rookie I will, good follow me. As rookie and garland ride along into the night, they made it to rookie's place safe and went inside to hopefully get some sleep for tonight.
