Closed Doors

Glancing over my shoulder to be greeted with
Your friendly demeanor. A single smile that goes so far.
Forgetting we are troubled with an eternal sith, was everything just a myth.

Tell me dear, was it all in my head?
I'm struggling to stop picturing the world you've shown.
Perhaps its time to lay all this to rest and get to bed.
To go back, for even a moment more, I'd give up all I own.

What shall I do now that you're gone?
Though brief, I feel as if I've known you all along.
But you faded away as quickly as dawn.
Now I'm left wondering what I did wrong.

Trusting not, my mind is ponder what's in yours
God I wish I knew what happened behind closed doors.
