My Boyfriend's Best Friend (Part 1)

Jade's POV: 

My name is Jade Miller. I have been dating Brennen Taylor for about a year now. Tonight we are going over his friends house. It's Colby Brock he is really nice so I don't have an issue hanging out with him. We get ready for the party and then head to the apartment. "Baby?" You okay Brennen asks. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I ask confused. "Nothing you just looked off into space, I got worried" He says sweetly. We then sit in silence and we arrive at Colby's and we walk in and Brennen kisses me and then goes off with the boys. I then meet up with my friends. "Hey bitch" Katrina yells running over to be. "Hey best friend" I say grabbing the drink that's in her hand and taking a sip. l swallow it and then hand it back to Kat. "Kat what the fuck is that?" I yell disgusted. "Fireball" She says laughing. I take the cup out of her hand and drink the rest. "Thanks" I say as I walk over to the cooler and grab a beer and then put my arm around her. 'So where is Sam" I ask. "He's around here somewhere" She says with sad expression on her face. I laugh at her reaction and I then look over to Brennen and I see him kissing a girl on the couch. Colby notices what Brennen is doing and pulls him off of her. I then hear Colby's loud angry voice over the music. "What the fuck Brennen why would you do that to your girl" He scream holding him by the collar of his shirt. "Cause she means nothing to me" He says looking straight at me. Colby then bangs Brennen's head against the wall and punches him. I then see Colby's friends Jake, Corey, and his best friend Sam hold him back. then some other guys grab Brennen. "Get the fuck out of my apartment you piece of shit" Colby yells. "Don't worry baby I know you come back to fuck me by tomorrow" He yells to me. Colby rips out the guys grip and clocks Brennen in the jaw making him fall into the guys arms completely out cold. "Take him the fuck out of my apartment and take him home, and PARTY'S OVER" He screams. All of the strangers leave and the main friend group is left. The guy dragged Brennen out of the apartment and Kat hugged me while I cried into her chest. I then feel a strong warm hand on my back that reminded me of Brennen from the amount of rings that were on their hand. I lift up my head to see Colby. "Do you want to go to Brennen's and get your stuff? you can stay here at my place. I have my other room." He says softly. I nod and he puts his hand out and I take it and he walks me down to his car. We then drive to Brennen's and Colby helps me pack all of my stuff. he carries my television out to the car and puts it in the trunk along with my suitcases that have my clothes and stuff in them. I grab my blankets and shit and everything that I own practically. We then get in the car and I throw his house key at his front door. I sit and cry silently and I feel Colby's hand on my thigh. "Hey....Your okay....You can stay with my for as long as you need that's why I had you take everything..I have two bathrooms and a bed in that second room...you can do whatever you want to it" He says softly. "Thank you Colby" I say crying. "No problem...I don't care if Brennen was my friend or not...I'm not one of those people who stick up for others when they are wrong" He says quietly. "You are my friend and you always have been and I plan to keep you as one" He says sweetly. "Thank you" I say softly and closing my eyes. I am woken up by Colby telling me we are home. He carries all of my stuff upstairs into his apartment for me and puts it in my new room. "You can sleep in my bed and I'll sleep on the couch tonight" He says pointing me towards the bedroom. I get changed into pajamas and get in his bed and I sit there and cry for hours and talk to Colby. Eventually I calmed down and must have fell asleep because I woke up to see Colby gone. I go into the living room to see him shirtless on the couch asleep with one hand under his head and the other on his stomach with his knee bent up. I sit there and look at him for a minute. Why does he care about me so much? I walk into my new room and start to make my bed and then unpack my stuff. I then bring my bag with my bathroom stuff into my bathroom and unpack that stuff too. I hop in the shower and then put on a t shirt and shorts and then walk out to see Colby shirtless again but this time with basketball shorts on and he is drying his hair with a towel. "Oh hey" He says sort of embarrassed. "Don't worry about it I've seen you shirtless remember" I say laughing at all the weird and crazy memories I have with him from you tube videos and parties. "That's right" He says laughing along with me. "So...I have nothing to do today we could just watch movies all day and edit?" He asks. I nod and sit on the couch. He sits beside me and he turns of the television. After a while we start to get hungry so we order pizza and eat. At about 8:00 I decided to go in my room and edit my video. "I'm gonna go edit okay" I say sitting up. "Okay." He says in a tired raspy voice. I sit at my desk and I start to edit. I then hear Colby in the living room talking. I walk out to see him asleep having a nightmare. I walk over to him and wake him up softly. "Colby.....Colby" I say softly. He pops up out of his deep sleep and looks straight at me. "I'm....I'm sorry" He says slightly crying. "It's okay...I'm just glad you're alright" I say holding his hand. "Do you want to sleep in my room while I edit so your not alone?" I ask. He nods and gets up with the blanket that was on the couch. I start to edit and after about an hour I slide off my headphones to go to the bathroom. I could hear soft snores escaping Colby's lips as he lays asleep on my bed. I come back from the bathroom and sit beside him on the bed. I turn on Netflix and start to watch Grey's Anatomy. I look to see that it is about 10:00 PM. "Colby....." I say softly. "Hmm..." Was all that escaped his mouth. "I'm going to go out of get some food do you want anything?" I ask. He nods. "I'm going to Taco Bell, your usual?" I ask. He nods once more and closes his eyes again. I then hear his breathing slow again and I laugh and put my shoes on and turn on my lamp and turning the main light off. I walk downstairs to the parking lot and get in my car and drive to taco bell and get Colby and I food. I then drive back home and go to wake up Colby and see him already up. "Here you go sleepy head"I say handing him his food.
