"So remind me again, where are we going that requires us to wear suits?" Dabi looked up from tying his shoes, to see Hawks tucking his white dress shirt into his pants. "I told you already, I'm taking you out to a nice restaurant for our anniversary. Besides I just really like the way you look in a suit."  Dabi went back to the task at hand, when he was suddenly pulled forward by the loose tie around his neck. He was now face to face Hawks, who was looking quite smug as if he knew the effect he was having on Dabi at the moment. "I'll give you that one, because I'm loving how you look in a suit too babe. You look especially hot today." The blonde leaned in close as though he was going to kiss the taller man, only to pull away at the last minute. Dabi sat unmoving as he tried to comprehend what had just happened. He saw Hawks standing near the door fixing his jacket. "Are you coming love? We don't wanna be late." Dabi shook his head to focus. "Yea, just let me tie my..." he cut himself off as he noticed that his tie was already done and pulled flush against the collar of his shirt. "Never mind let's get going." They made it to the restaurant in record time, cutting it dangerously close to their reservation time. They were led to a small booth near the back, along the way people stared and whispered. Some were talking excitedly about being in the same restaurant as the #2 hero Hawks. Others were looking at Dabi in disgust, asking why that villain was here with a top ranked pro hero. They don't believe that Dabi changed, that he became a better person. But the truth is he did change even if they don't believe it, he changed for Hawks. Halfway to their table Hawks noticed the stares and how uncomfortable they were making Dabi. He grabbed the taller mans hand and started pulling him back towards the exit, smiling at how adorable Dabi was with that confused look on his face. "Where are we going? I promised you a nice dinner, we can't just walk out on our reservation." Hawks simply leaned his head on Dabi's shoulder as they made their way down the street hand in hand. "That place was a bit too stiff for my liking. Besides my idea of a nice dinner doesn't involve a fancy restaurant and gourmet food. What it does involve is a decent meal and spending time with you, preferably without the judge mental stares from random people." They decided to pick something up from one of the nearby street vendors before walking down the pathway to the local park. It was peaceful as there wasn't very many people out. Hawks was swinging around the light poles like a child, before pulling Dabi to the jungle gym off to the side of the path.  Dabi laughed at the little blonde dork, his little blonde dork. They climbed to the top of the jungle gym and laid back against the bars. The stars shined brightly above them as they enjoyed the view in a comfortable silence. Dabi reached into his pocket, his hand closing around a small velvet box. Dabi sat up holding the box in his hand. "Hey babe. I know I've never told you this before, but thank you. Thank you for showing me there's still good in the world.. that there's still some good in me. You make me want to be a better person so will you do me the honor of being stuck with my stupid ass forever?" He handed the opened box to Hawks. Inside the box was a silver ring, with an oval shaped stone set in the middle. The stone was a mix of red and blue, the way the colors combined made it appear as if it was made of flames. "It's a dragon's breath fire opal. It's red like your wings and blue like my flames, so I guess it's kinda sentimental. I thought you might like it for that reason, or you know because it's shiny and you like shiny things." Hawks smirked before he pulled Dabi towards him, effectively stopping his rambling with a kiss. "None of that matters to me. You could have proposed with a ring pop and I'd still be happy with it. As long as I get to spend the rest of my life with you, nothing else matters." Dabi gave the blonde a soft smile. "So is that a yes?" Hawks just shook his head with a slight grin on his lips as he slipped the ring onto his finger. "Duh you dork. You aren't getting rid of me that easily, and now you're stuck with me forever." Dabi grinned and grabbed Hawks by the collar of his shirt. "I like the sound of that."
