A FIGURE APPEARED FROM THE SHADOWS, stepping into the light. The trees surrounding them swayed in the gentle breeze, the sounds of nature echoing in their ears. One figure stood out watching as the second figure was waiting, as they were kicking the pebbles on the concrete ground. The second figure was female, long ringlets into flowing curls, dressed in a dress that held little designs that the first male could not make of, with a leather jacket, with the sleeves that covered her pale skin. The first figure was male, mesmerized upon his sight he saw, the figure he desperately had not seen in centuries, a millennia that he never knew that time flown by. He was mesmerized seeing the first love of his life, standing, waiting, alive and breathing. Her eyes carried a sense of innocence, a sense of longing and hope reflected by the full moon uprising in the dark sky, just standing.
He walked out towards her, the movement catching the female off guard. "Sienna." He breathed in awe and wondering, as if he was in a trance. The female figure smiled softly, but her eyes spoken in a different language, a language that the male understood. Confusion. Confusion held her eyes as she spoken. "Uh, I think you might have mistaken for someone else." The female spoke, her voice angelic like angels in the clouds, watching the two from above, carrying confusion as she furrowed her eyebrows, tilting her head in curiosity. The male frowned in confusion, even as her voice sounded similar, yet different in contrast to his first love. "My apologies. You merely remind me of someone I once loved." The male spoke softly, his tone surprised the female, detecting a accent that seemed unfamiliar, but somehow is familiar to her. "I'm flattered that I remind you of someone." The female smiled shyly, as she looked up at the male, whom was slightly taller than her by a couple of inches. To the female, the male had platinum blonde hair with mesmerizing gray eyes that somehow drank the female in, but she could never place it. "My name is Isaiah." He introduced himself, his British accent seeping though, making the female smile. Isaiah noticed her and gave a small smile in return. "Maddie." She introduced herself, blushing when Isaiah had grasped the gentle hand of hers and placed a delicate, feathery kiss upon it, as he could feel and hear the fluttering heartbeat of the female. "Not to be rude, or anything, but isn't a bit absurd to be meeting in the middle of the road in the midst of the darkness, alone?" Maddie asked softly, tilting her head, curious but also wondering. Her ringlet curls falling gently off her shoulder as her long hair flowed in the slow coming wind. Isaiah's lips twitched at her words, and how she had spoken them was amusing, considering he had been purposely watching her, even though he kept his distance. "I like my nightly walks, it's very..." Isaiah trailed off, searching for a unique word to add. "Soothing, calming? Therapeutic?" Maddie supplied with a twitch of a smile, as she watched Isaiah with a smile upon his own lips. Isaiah nodded slowly, dipping his head slightly, as he watched her silently, admiring and mesmerizing her features that remarkably looked indifferent to Sienna. "Yes, it's very therapeutic at night for walks. It helps me think." Isaiah spoken next after a beat of a moment, as he tilted his head, his eyes reflecting in the moonlight and dim lighting of the bonfire that was happening down the road.
Maddie knew there was a party going on, it was the reason she came with her older sister. Maddie never really liked to go out, always preferring to stay inside to a good book, or a Hallmark Channel movie and snuggle into her fluffy blankets. She often sometimes would sit by her window still with a blanket, a cup of hot chocolate or something soothing for her throat, and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere that carried in her bedroom. Her sister, however was the opposite of her. Elena Gilbert often went out, to wherever her friends went to, and often snuck out. That's what had happened. Elena persuaded Maddie to sneak out and blow off game night to join her sister and Matt, Elena's boyfriend and Maddie's friend. Maddie would have rather spent time with her parents, her younger brother and best friend Annalee, whom she had known for many years instead of joining a bonfire that would essentially happen again before school started. To say, Maddie had not been pleased to be dragged from her peaceful environment to a bonfire that she knew her sister wasn't enjoying herself.
Isaiah watched as thoughts and a far away gaze held in Maddie's eyes as he had thoughts of his own. He could remember the last time he saw her. Her long hair had been slightly lighter, and her skin was lightly darker, but carried the same eyes and delicate cheek bones. Isaiah knew no doubt that there were a million little things differing between Sienna and Maddie, and he looked forward to seeing it. He tilted his head, about to speak up, when he heard voices in the distance, his eyebrows furrowed, aware of a burning gaze coming from Maddie in front of him. "You want what everybody wants." Isaiah heard the familiar voice of an old friend. Isaiah knew that voice all too well, he had met them, and became a brother toward them. "So, Damon, tell me." Isaiah's eyebrows rose to the hairline at the all to noticeable voice similar to a woman he also knew, but thought to be dead, or ran away. Isaiah paid attention to the voices, but to Maddie, as if his thoughts consuming from memories. "You want a love that consumes you. You want passion, an adventure, and even a little danger." Isaiah's eyes rose at the words coming from Damon's lips, his own twitching at the irony that he somehow knew what would become. If he was there, thus meaning someone else he knew had arrived to town. "So, tell me, what thoughts consume you?" Maddie's voice triggered Isaiah back to the present, and to her. Isaiah slowly smiled, as he watched her own smile appearing, showing her dimples that make a similarity. "About this summer, I believe. I would be traveling." He spoke softly, in hopes of searching what he hoped he'd find. Isaiah stepped forward to Maddie, as Isaiah glanced downward to her brown eyes. His eyes dilated for a moment, his voice easily heard through between them. "You have reminded me of someone I love and I thought lost. You have brought an open wound in hopes of healing. Our love was pure, epic and overall majestic. I want you to find that love, hold onto the love you desire, and grow. I look forward to seeing your smile, and in hopes of you following your dream. We must depart, and I regretfully wish I could stay. I want you to forget that we have met, and spoken. I want you to be happy, and live a life that you desire." Isaiah spoke soothingly, as he brought his hand to caress her cheek with the pad of his thumb, a lone tear falling down his cheek as he stared, mesmerized by her beauty. Maddie smiled softly at Isaiah, her head leaning into his warm touch, fluttering her eyes closed. But when she reopened them, she was all alone, standing, hearing her sister call for her. Maddie blinked, before she sighed a deep sigh, before she turned, walking to find Elena, whom was waiting for their parents.
Isaiah watched in the trees, as he didn't bother to wipe away a tear, looking at the two girls. Seeing Elena came a shock, knowing, what the future holds for them, would be epic, and would be a long journey. "So, you've found her." Another voice appeared beside of him. A male with bronze hair, and hazel eyes as he watched from his spot, longing and love in his eyes. "Yes." Isaiah whispered, turning towards him. "But this is only the beginning." Isaiah spoke, turning around. The male frowned, casting another longing look to the curled female who gotten into the car, before he trekked after Isaiah, into the midst of the night, only birds could be heard, and people enjoying the bonfire.
