Louis never thought he’d see the day that water was on fire, but here he was.
The plane laid in pieces on the surface of the murky ocean, the larger parts slowly sinking deeper into the water. Little objects dotted the water around him, suitcases being tossed around by the rolling waves, seats that were torn out of the plane just floating around. The water around the plane was either black with oil and gas that had leaked out of the engines or… red. Louis didn’t even want to think about what the red was from.
“Louis!” He felt a hand grab onto his shoulder, almost pulling the boy under the water. Louis grunted and turned around finding Liam treading water behind him. He flipped his hair to the side when Louis noted the blond haired girl who now had her arms wrapped around his waist.
“I got her off my neck.” He shrugged, the girl had a huge grin on her face.
“Leeyuum! Ya saved me! Tha’ means we’re meant ta’ be! Lyke I said! OH MAH GAWSH LEEYUUM! WE’RE GONNA HYAVE KIDS AND NAME ‘EM AFTER YER BAND MATES ‘CAUSE THAT’D BE CUTE DON’T CHA THINK?”
Geeze, Louis thought, looping Harry’s limp arms around his neck and rolling the bleeding boy onto his back. You’d think her and that other one would have something else to do-
The thought stopped him cold. He looked up at Liam, who looked just as scared. His brown eyes wide and face almost translucent.
“Did you hold onto…?”
“No! I thought you did!”
“Where is he then?” Louis screamed his heart racing as he scanned the wreckage.
It’s understandable why the two boys were so worried.
Zayn can’t swim, and Niall still had an over excited teenager stuck to his neck.
They were still in the plane, and they were sinking.

Art felt her body fall forward, her chin hitting the ground before a wall of water rushed over her. She barely had enough time to take a breath before salt water stung her eyes. She pushed herself up, feeling blood start to fill her mouth.
Damn, bit my tongue. She cursed in her head as she looked around. All hell had broken loose in the plane, everyone was trying to swim to the surface, or at least trying to get out of the remains of the plane. The water in the cabin started to tint red as the girl looked to her side.
Frankie was struggling with her seatbelt, the girl’s hands shaking franticly. Art frowned and pushed herself forward. Reaching down, she worked franticly to unbuckle Frankie’s seatbelt. Art’s lungs felt like they were on fire, she knew soon she’d have to breathe… Very soon.
Finally, Frankie’s seatbelt came off, and the girl quickly pushed herself up, hitting Art’s nose in the process. Frankie’s eyes went wide as she tried to apologize as best as one could without speaking. Art held her nose, motioning towards the surface of the water. Frankie nodded and began to swim up, Art in close pursuit.
Never before did the two ever think that they could gasp as loudly as they did when the both reached air. Both of them were panting, gasping for more air. Art scrunched her nose, sending a bit of pain through her face, but she knew she could handle it.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Frankie panted from beside her, slowly floating to Art’s side. Art nodded and slightly moved away before scanning the area. Nothing but sea and debris was around the two, along with some people desperately swimming to try to get to some sort of safety. A pop echoed around them, much like the ‘party poppers’ Art had seen before she almost got flushed out, but this one was louder, and followed by the hiss of air.
