A Second Chance {Kiribaku}

Chapter Four

Bakugo skipped the rest of the day. Kirishima was worried he did something wrong. Bakugo showers and changes into a pair of black sweatpants then a black shirt. He slips on some shoes and grabs his phone. He opened his door and saw Kirishima who was about to knock. "Oh hey...you skipped two of classes. Did I do something?" He asked worried. Bakugo sighed and looked at him. "No..it's just again you almost died because of me" said Bakugo looking away. Kirishima sighed. "Well I think of it as you saved me..and I risked myself because of me. You didn't push me or anything so it's not your fault. And from what you told me about my.. future self I would say ...he did what does best. Being a hero. You never pulled him in the way, he did it of his own will. He saved you and you didn't kill him" said Kirishima. Bakugo looks at him. He was right... Bakugo was overthinking and blaming himself.

"Come on" said Bakugo closing his door. He walked past Kirishima who follows him. Bakugo walked out of the dorm building and Kirishima looked at Bakugo. "Where we going?" He asked as they walked up to the fence. Bakugo hits a panel and it pops open. "Woah" said Kirishima shocked. Bakugo walked through and Kirishima followed. Bakugo led him through the forest and stops infront of an old treehouse. This was the same one Kirishima and Bakugo found during their last year..they fixed it up together. Bakugo sighed at the memories. "How did you know it was here?" Asked Kirishima.

"Found this during our last year..we fixed it up and ..." Said Bakugo looking up at the tree house. Bakugo frowns and looked down. "Kirishima do you even believe anything I've told you?" Asked Bakugo looking back at him. "I will be honest I didn't but am starting to see...you might be right. I uh..sorry" said Kirishima looking away from Bakugo. "It's fine..am..I should just go back. We have a hero test tomorrow right?" He said walking past Kirishima. "Huh. He told us that last block..you skipped it..Uh" said Kirishima to himself. Bakugo walked back to the dorms as Kirishima looks at the tree house. "So I die saving you huh? Future me is so manly...I hope he had time to tell you how we felt" said Kirishima looking at the tree house with a smile.

Bakugo sat on his bed his head was filled with memoires. He recalls the last day of school when he and Kirishima pranked All Might. The time he caught Kirishima sneaking out in the middle of the night to go help a little kitten. Or the time that Kirishima fell asleep on him. They had spent the whole summer vacation at the beach together. Bakugo remembered almost confessing to Kirishima multiple times during that trip. Bakugo frowns and opened his eyes. How is he supposed to think or act like a normal human being when all he can think is about losing the man he loved? This second chance bull shit is just another world for hell. He must've died after Kirishima due to heartbreak or something. These four years are going to be hell and he knows it.
