the familiar chime of the flower shop's entrance echoed throughout, signaling a customer. the owner, being the kind man he is, welcomed them with his rehearsed greetings while still tending to the tall plant he was watering. "let me know if you need any help locating anything in particular!"
"oh, uh, i'm actually looking for some orchids. do you happen to have any in stock?" the pretty girl asks, interested in an equally pretty flower.
"i just sold my last ones, about 2 hours ago. what a bummer..." mr. kim sighs. "actually, i ordered a few more that'll ship in about two days. i can call ya when they're in if you'd like," he finishes with a warm smile.
"i'd like that," she smiles back, "although this feels like a clever way of getting my contact information considering the circumstances..."
"pfffffft, n-no... it's just being the friendly neighborhood florist." he denies all accusations despite his feelings for this regular of his. "you come in here quite often anyways, so i kinda just figured i could be a nice—is it aquantaince?— and give you the right flowers." he nervously smiles again. "sad i don't even know your name."
"it's blah blah blah, and you are something kim if i can read your store's name correctly, yea?"
"yea, heh. taehyung, florist by day, and by night... i am also a florist."
she chuckles. takes an index card off the counter and retrieves a pen, writing her number and order. "while i wait for this orchids, can i by chance get some succulents? my room is missing that e-girl vibe."
tae goes to the house plant aisle and comes back with a few different potted ones. she picks one out and puts back the other ones while he rings it up.
she pays, thanks him, says farewell. but not without a wave and a wink.
