Pick jumped on Bright and started punching him with all his might.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY ROME!"

Bright was laughing until he realized what Pick had said. My Rome? He had left Rome!

"You little piece of shit!" Bright started fighting back. He hit Pick straight on the face.
"YOU LEFT HIM! HE COULD'VE DI-"

"STOP IT!"

Both the boys stopped mid-fight.

"Please..." Rome pleaded.

Pick turned to look at Rome and saw tears running down his face. He immediately abandoned Bright on the floor and joined Rome on the bed.

"Rome. I'm so sorry. So sorry. You know I would never do that to you." Pick cradled Rome's face on his hands and softly pecked his lips.
"Forgive me. Please."

Rome hid his face on Pick's chest and started sobbing. Pick gently caressed his back to soothe him. Pick's hand slowly found way to his neck and froze there. It was a natural instinct to rub the mark to soothe one's partner. But what Pick realized was that Rome had two freaking marks! His eyes turned red with anger and his heart boiled with jealousy.

"GET OUT." Pick tried to contain his rage. He knew that if he lost control he'd kill Bright.

"NO." Bright was an alpha after all. He had to take a stand.
"First, let us clear this shit! I have to know if you're worth having Rome."

Pick turned sharply towards Bright and to his surprise, Bright's eyes were a bright ruby red. So they both had gone on full alpha mode. It was a war now and only one would come out alive. Pick gently pushed Rome on the bed. Rome looked up at him with wide scared eyes.

"I'll come back after settling thi-"

"NO! NO! NO!" Rome cried out. "You won't fight! Both of you!"

Bright was surprised at Rome's behavior. He slid in a quick smile knowing that Rome was probably worried about him... about both of them. Bright did not interfere the interaction between Pick and Rome because of the fact that Rome was holding Pick as if he'd disappear.

"Rome. We're just going to settle it."

"Then settle it here! Don't go..." Rome clutched onto Pick.

"I'll show myself out." Bright spoke up. "Talk to each other. I'll join the conversation tomorrow."

Pick wanted to kill Bright then and there but Rome was still clinging onto him. He deduced that his priority was Rome. He'd handle the bastard afterwards.

Bright knew that Rome wouldn't stop him. But just as he had expected, Rome's eyes met his. There was desperation in his eyes and it was hard for Bright to ignore it and just walk away. But Bright knew. As much as it hurt him, Bright knew that at that moment Rome needed Pick more than Rome would ever need him.

The door closed behind Bright and Rome realized that he was staring at Bright until then.

"Love?" Pick caressed Rome's cheeks.

"Who was she?" Rome looked dead into Pick's eyes.

Pick sighed. He knew he had to explain things fast. Before he had to go and deal with Bright, he needed Rome by his side.

"You know I love you right?", Pick hugged Rome and took a breath of relief when the latter didn't protest.

"Rome, please believe me." Pick held Rome tightly, "She was... she was just someone my parents wanted me to see."
