Jack & I

Chapter 10:

***Lauren's POV***
As we drove I couldn't help but notice that Jack was being very nice to me today. Does he like me? He tried to kiss me he must like me, but he doesn't even know me. Maybe he just likes my looks? I thought he was so much nicer than that? I don't know anymore.
When we got to school I found Megan in the lawn with all of the girls.
"Hey Lauren!" Abby said with a smile.
"Hey guys" I said sitting down I the grass with them.
"So you have a date to Homecoming yet?" Taylor asked me. Shoot homecoming this Friday, I hate dances.
"No, I kinda forgot it was this Friday" I said giggling a little bit.
"Really? I thought you would go with Jack?" Megan said really surprised.
"No I think we're just friends" I said and they all nodded.
"I'm going with Andrew." Megan said with a smile and we all ahhhhhhed because they where so cute together. Jack said that he's a very nice boy.
"I'm going with Josh." Abby said and Megan looked at me and Taylor frowned. Last night we where on a group chat and I told them what Josh said to me yesterday.
"What, he said he was just messing around with you." she stated.
"Okay" we replied back in unison.

School started and I got the HW done in the extra 5 minutes that we had to work on it. English is my easiest class. I walked into my math class and saw a Josh was the only person in there so I just quietly walked to my seat.
"Hey babe" he said sitting in the seat next to me, Jack's seat.
"Please don't call me that." said politely.
" I can call you what ever I want." He said putting a hand on my knee, I quickly tried pushing his hand away but he grabbed my wrist and started squeezing it really hard.
"Stop" I said trying to pull out of his grasp but it was to strong.
"Your hurting me!" I said a little louder but the grip just got tighter.
"Let go know." a deep voice behind us said. He let go and stood up. I grabbed my wrist and whined in pain. He's really strong. I looked to see who the person was and it was Jack. Jack out of all people had to see that! He probably thinks I'm weak and doesn't want anything to do with me know! Ugh I hate Josh! They where arguing for a while the Josh walked out of the room. I looked over at Jack who to my surprise opened his arms and have me a hug. I tried wrapping my arms around him but it hurt so much. He put his head on top of mine.
"He won't touch you again" he whispered to me. But I think it was more of a assurance for himself. He pulled away and looked at me.
"Lauren do you want to go somewhere with me tonight?" he said smiling flashing his dimples.
"Yah I'll text my brothers, what time" I asked.
"I'll pick you up at 4:30." he said sitting down in his seat.

The rest if the day was boring. I only got lost twice, Go Me! I walked home and got ready. Was this a date? I don't know because I've never been on one but, I want it to be special. I kelt the clothes that I am wearing and curled my hair. It was 4:20 when I was done so I brushed my teeth and waited in my living room for him.
A little while later he picked me up in his truck.
"Hey "I said getting in and shouting the door.
"Hey" he replied starting to drive.
"Where are we going?"
"Can't tell you."
"Why not?"
"Because it's a surprise" he with a smile.

About half a hour later we got to train tracks and he stopped the car and got out. Before I could open the door he had it opened and I hoped out and followed him down the train tracks.
"Where are we going" I asked again. He just looked at me and smiled. He grabbed my hand and held it as went. It was perfect, his hand was so warm. We walked for a while and we got to a little picnic blanket and basket set up in front abandoned train car.
"This is so cute." I said hugging him. He hugged me back even tighter

We finished eating and just sat talking and we're played 21 questions.
"19: who's your crush" he asked. My face got red and I looked down at my hands. He put two fingers under my chin and forced my to look at him. He started to lean in, had a look I saw in my parent when kissed. Lust. He was inches from my face and I started to get nervous.
"Jack......." I said and he opened his eyes. He rested his forehead on mine and put a hand on my neck.
"Yes" he said breathing heavy.
"I don't know how" I said.
"Follow my lead" then he closed the gap between us. Sparks. Sparks everywhere.
