Amy's pov

She didn't leave, she kept banging on the door. Mark played with my hair trying to get me to sleep but I am too scared too. What if she breaks in and hurts us? I need to be alert.

"Go to sleep," Mark said.

"I will when she leaves."

He reached for something on his nightstand. The blinding light tells me it's his phone.

" campus security is needed, someone is banging on the front door." He said to the person on the other end.

He put his phone back on the nightstand then held me again.

"They are on their way." He said.

"Can I skip class tomorrow?"

"Yeah, I am thinking about calling off. We need to rest after all of that bull shit."

I snuggled into him trying to disappear, it didn't work.

"I KNOW YOU ARE IN HERE!" My mother screamed.

"Mark, she is in the house!" I jumped up out of the bed.

"Stay here I will take care of her." He jumped out of bed. "Chica, protect Amy." He left the room.

Chica walked over to me and sat don't on my feet.

"Why is she here?" I asked Chica as I sat down on the floor. "Why can't she just leave me alone? I want nothing to do with her."

Chica let out a low whine then looked up at me.

"I know, I don't like this either." I wrapped my arms around her.

"WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?" Mom screamed causing me to hold onto Chica tighter.

"You need to leave, no one wants you here." Mark's voice is stern.

"I don't care what she wants, I never have! She needs to be at home with me. Not wasting anyone's time acting like she can make it here."

"She doesn't need to act, and she is not wasting anyone's time. Your daughter has everything it takes to make it in the real world, and you don't like that."

"You don't know anything about me."

"I know the truth that happened that night."

There was a pause that could slice to kill, finally, mom spoke.

"How?" Mom's voice broke.

"I put the puzzle together, that is why you hate her. Your own daughter."

"He was to just watch her."

"Oh, he watched her alright. How old?"

"Too young."

"Always is. So, you use that anger and take it out on her? She had no idea."

I got up and walked to them.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked walking next to Mark.

He never took his eyes off of her.

"You want to tell her?" He asked.

"Amy, sit down." Mom said.

"I already know the truth." I glared at her. "Did you think that I wouldn't remember? I told you what he was doing, I told you he creeped me out and you still let him watch me. You still let him touch me." I felt my blood boiling.

"Then why have you acting like you haven't known?" She was shocked.

"I was waiting to see how much you would tell me," I folded my arms.
